She can say that all she wants. But like she said, the state didn't prove its case. So they went by the law.

I was a juror in an assault case of a black man against a white cop. To a juror, we thot that he probably did it, but the state didn't prove their case even with the cops testimony, so we voted to acquit. All of us who have commented on this have our own preconceived biases and ideas. The only fact that really counts - on this earth - is the jury's. And they had to vote unanimously to acquit him of the charges.

That's basically what she said. Apparently they thought he was guilty but the prosecution didn't prove it to them in accordance with the instructions they were given to charge him by.

I too think he got away with murder.

Maybe I missed it in reading the transcripts. But did the prosecution ask him why after being told "okay we don't need you to do that" and the dispatcher coordinating for him to meet back at the mailboxes, did he ask them to just call him and he'd tell them where he was?

I don't think George Zimmerman intended to go back and was still looking for Trayvon.

The apartment complex is not that big, and the cut through where he parked his truck was even smaller.

At 2:08 in the 911 transcript George Zimmerman says "He's running".
At 2:28 in the 911 transcript George Zimmerman says "OK" to the 911 dispatcher about not following Trayvon Martin.

That's 20 seconds from when Zimmerman would have started pursuing based on his phone conversation.

At 4:07 the phone call ends withthe dispatcher at Zimmerman tells the dispatcher to have the police call him so that he can tell them where he is.

It took 20 seconds to go from his truck to stop pursuing. But in the space of another 1:39, he was only to the midway point of the cut through when the confrontation occurred?

He should have been back to his truck a couple of times running. Maybe 1 1/2 walking.

So what was he doing for 1:39?

she's free to say what she wants, and I'm free to think of her what I think, and this is what I think.
bottom line is they all voted to acquit Zimmerman because evidence and the law says they should declare him not guilty.
and what I think of her ?
I think one of these days she's going to write a book, and like the "reverends", make money from this tragic death which shouldn't have happened.
    that's what I think.

Maddy said. "George Zimmerman got away with murder"

Maddy said. "But as the law was read to me, if you have no proof that he killed him intentionally, you can't say he's guilty.

Unless your Maddy I guess, then you can say he is guilty.' No wait, she said you can't say he's guilty, no wait, he got away with murder

It is so sad that so many average folks cannot understand the definition of murder. Thank God there wasn't more like her on this jury, they could have put away an innocent man.

Notice how the interviewer never challenged her confusion, they want so bad for her to make sense, not looking for truth.

Doesn't matter one iota. It's no crime to keep an eye on a suspicious character and it doesn't make one a murderer. George took a risk following a person in the dark, he could have very easily been the one with a bullet in him. Trayvon wanted to be a tough guy and decided to jump him, sadly though he picked the wrong guy, this guy was a wimp with a gun, his only defense was to shoot him or possibly die.

Exactly, Casey Anthony most likely caused her daughter's death, but these hot shot DA's always want to over charge and even when they have no evidence. So many people want to throw out the "innocent until proven guilty". I wonder how they will feel someday when they find themselves in a difficult situation but are innocent?

    Maybe he did....

.....as I've said all along, only God knows for sure what happened that night. As a believer, I trust He will judge accordingly, and in faith I believe that Zimmy and Martin will be confronted at judgement! We need to move on!

We have a jury of peers for a reason. Is it perfect? I doubt it? Does it get all verdicts correct? I don't think any of us will ever know for sure? Would I want any other ind of justuce system? No, God forbid. Ours is the fairest and best in the world.

Let it die my brother. The verdict is in and nothing you say can change things any more than our complaints about Obama will get us a new Prez until 2016!

ABC's Misleading Edit of Juror B29

The media's misleading edits of statements connected to the Zimmerman trial continues. Now it seems to have extended to one of the jurors in the case.

Yesterday Breitbart News noted the ABC interview with Juror B29. The big news was that Maddy--her last name was never used to protect her privacy--had told Robin Roberts "George Zimmerman got away with murder." And indeed if you watch the Nightline edit of the interview she does seem to say that without hesitation or reservation.

However, William Saletan at Slate points out that the unedited interview seems to show something different. Maddy actually hesitates twice when answering Roberts' question which contains the statement "George Zimmerman got away with murder." As Saletan points out "she looks as though she’s trying to reconcile the sentiment that’s been quoted to her—that Zimmerman 'got away with murder'—with her own perspective. So she repeats the quote and adds words of her own, to convey what she thinks: that there’s a justice higher than the law, which Zimmerman will have to face "

Wow, your right, she was lead into making that statement and then her beginning comments were edited out. What a joke NBC is, sad.

The juror misspoke because she herself voted to acquit based upon lack of evidence of any wrongdoing. She says that Z was guilty but she did not vote that way. She is trying to have her cake and eat it too. If she was sincere, why did she not vote to convict and force a mistrial? If Z was guilty, how can the juror justify her actions?
