Israel Air Strikes in Northern Syria

Confirmed in USA Today ...

WASHINGTON — Israeli warplanes struck targets inside Syria on Thursday, likely missiles that were being transferred to the militant group Hezbollah, according to a senior defense official.

The attack involved two to four warplanes, said the official who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss the operation.

It was similar to an operation in May in which Israeli jets fired weapons at a shipment of accurate, Iranian-made guided missiles. That attack occurred near Damascus. Israel also struck suspected weapons bound for Hezbollah in January.
At least somebody is doing something about the spread of terrorism in the Mideast.

If Israel is under God's protection aren't we being a bit arrogant to think He needs our help to do His job?

Of course, we do not know the mind of the Lord. However, with as much as we have been blessed, and as much as we rub God's nose in sin from abortion to gay marriages, our support of Israel may be the only reason we are still here, any reasonable person would conclude.

What would a reasonable person conclude if such support was unconstitutional?

What would a reasonable person conclude if Israel attacked Syria in violation of international law?

According to these charts and a bunch of various "terrorism and intelligence experts" we might conclude that we have been doing something about the spread of terrorism in the Mideast and Africa.
Except the charts are wrong. While there was a sharp spike in terrorist attacks in the first six months after 9/11, from that point forward to the Great Pretender's inauguration, successful attacks -- purposefully emphasizing "successful" there -- dropped off, though I agree, they didn't go down to pre-9/11 levels. Also, showing those attacks to be nearly zero before 9/11 is just plain ignorant. Obviously, they ignore attacks in Israel, Lebanon and Jordan.

The article I posted is full of terrorism and intelligence experts and their research that disagree with what you are saying.

Can they all be ignorant?

I went back and looked at the charts. I'm not seeing the same charts you are evidently because the ones I see aren't showing attacks to be nearly zero before 9/11 except for Iraq and Al Qaeda was not in Iraq until we bombed it to smithereens and occupied it. None of the terrorism and intelligence experts are making that (nero zero) claim either. I checked the link a couple of times and it goes to the article I posted on my pc so I'm left wondering how you could be reading something other than what I posted.

What Was Not Said About Iraq

October was Iraq’s deadliest month since April, 2008. In those five and a half years, not only has there been no improvement in Iraq’s security situation, but things have gotten much worse. More than 1,000 people were killed in Iraq last month, the vast majority of them civilians. Another 1,600 were wounded, as car bombs, shootings, and other attacks continue to maim and murder.

As post-“liberation” Iraq spirals steadily downward, Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki was in Washington last week to plead for more assistance from the United States to help restore order to a society demolished by the 2003 US invasion. Al-Qaeda has made significant recent gains, Maliki told President Obama at their meeting last Friday, and Iraq needs more US military aid to combat its growing influence.

Obama pledged to work together with Iraq to address al-Qaeda’s growing presence, but what was not said was that before the US attack there was no al-Qaeda in Iraq. The appearance of al-Qaeda in Iraq coincided with the US attack. They claimed we had to fight terror in Iraq, but the US invasion resulted in the creation of terrorist networks where before there were none. What a disaster.

Maliki also told President Obama last week that the war in next-door Syria was spilling over into Iraq, with the anti-Assad fighters setting off bombs and destabilizing the country. Already more than 5,000 people have been killed throughout Iraq this year, and cross-border attacks from Syrian rebels into Iraq are increasing those numbers. Again, what was not said was that the US government had supported these anti-Assad fighters both in secret and in the open for the past two years.

Looks like terrorism has definitely increased in Iraq from "near zero" to . . .

Israel ‘furious’ Obama administration leaked strike confirmation

Israel is livid over the White House’s public confirmation that the Israeli Air Force engaged a Syrian military base Wednesday, destroying weapons about to be delivered to Hezbollah, according to several sources.

In the following newscast, CNN reported that although “the Israelis themselves have refused to comment,” on the alleged Israeli Air Force strike, they were able to get “confirmation from a White House source.”

Wonder if the person or persons responsible for leaking this bit of info will be joining Edward Snowden in Russian exile?
