Washington Post columnist Charles Krauthammer ridiculed an Organizing for America commercial telling parents to give their kids a Thanksgiving scolding until they sign up for Obamacare.

“I love the part of the ad where the dad says, ‘We love you no matter what,’” Krauthammer joked Thursday on Fox News Channel’s Special Report. “What’s the dad supposed to say? You don’t get health insurance, you’re out of the house, you’re out of the will? I’m going to euthanize your dog?”

Organizing for America was a key component in President Obama’s election campaign and is intimately tied to the White House communications team. Krauthammer worried about the implications of tying partisan politics to family gatherings like Thanksgiving dinner.

“It’s ridiculous. And it’s got a kind of creepy Soviet element here,” he warned. “The essence of the overbearing state is that they leave you no haven from politics. And there is no place that ought to be yours and outside of politics as the family table, especially with a large turkey on it and everybody gathered all over the country. And they want you to talk about their political agenda?”

With parents who bring up politics at Thanksgiving dinner, the young person probably needs mental health help.

    Great post, I think?

I happen to be an ardent follower of Charles Krauthammer, and feel the man is not only highly intelligent, but wise beyond his years. If he were to run for POTUS, I'd vote for him!

I like him, he has an odd view of what conservatism is and he tends to be a bit liberal at times.

    You are spot on....

....but I think the next POTUS needs to be a bit liberal and a bit conservative, and a whole lot compromising to the point that they can lead both sides of the divided aisle back to doing what is best to bring America back to an economic giant!

Liberals are not capable of being part of economic improvement.

The ads -- this is one of four -- are being placed by OFA which is the acronym for "Organizing for America," a key in the Great Pretender's two White House campaigns and, as The Daily Caller accurately points out, is ultimately tied to the administration's communication arm.

Does it bother anyone else that, by rearranging the acronym letters a bit, you get "OAF"??
