Let me just say this. While he is attending Nelson Mandelas funeral - http://www.usatoday.com/story/theoval/2013/12/06/obama-nelson-mandela-south-africa-funeral/3888737/

Curiously,- in April 2010, he allowed a volcanic plume to keep him from attending the funeral of Poland's president - http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2010/apr/18/obama-skips-polish-funeral-heads-to-golf-course/ Electing to play gold instead?

THEN - in April 2013, without the volcanic plume to use as an excuse, he totally snubs the funeral of Margaret Thatcher of the UK! http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/margaret-thatcher-funeral-american-german-1836342

I may be reading more into this than I should, but if he continues to miss funerals of world leaders, that happen to be Caucasian, he soon be seen as a racist president! IMHO of course!

What say you ['cause I know you will have an opinion on my heavy handed approach to this view of Obama and his selective approach to state funerals for world leaders]. :type:

    No,
It's not that they're Caucasian....it's that he can't stand either one of them.
I assure you, Barack Obama has nothing but disdain for Margaret Thatcher and everything she stood for. Actually, Obama simply hates The United Kingdom period. He is always snubbing them; he does everything he can get away with to alienate them. Communists also hate Poland, the Polish President, and they most assuredly can't stand Maggie.

It would be a P.C. disaster to fail to attend Mandela's funeral. It would be political suicide. All I know is, when liberals, democrats, and other Godless lefties universally adore a particular world-leader, you should smell a big fat commie rat.

    Mandela, they love:
    Maggie, they hate.

I am not sure precisely why, but I know you should smell a rat.

While I agree with IJ that Obama has nothing but disdain for the UK, and has probably hit the nail on the head regarding his failure to attend Lech Kaczynski's funeral -- and he was a sitting president when he died in a plane crash.

However, I believe Obama is a reverse racist as well, and further believe the only real form of racism seen in the U.S. today is that of blacks and other minorities towards whites.

That's gonna raise the hackles of a couple of our resident socialists.

I agree that he is a racist also.....I wouldn't say the ONLY form of racism is minorities towards whites....just 90% of it.

Some polling I've seen has shown that minorities themselves actually believe that anti-white racism is more prevalent than the reverse. It's very sad. :tear:

Don't worry about raising the hackles of the socialists, the only way to avoid offending them is to speak to their mob mentality in lieu of holding to facts.

Ugh. I could throw down that whole argument, but then I'd be defending Obama and it's just not worth the effort.

Mandela definitely gets a hats-off from me though. It's pretty much a no-brainer that he and Thatcher were opposites.

Just kidding but women should not take their hats off, especially to men. I'm through.

I would say it would have been stupid for him to fly into European airspace at that time. A vast majority of all European flight were grounded during that period of time. I had friends who could not get home from an African missions trip as well as other friends who were stranded for about a week. No or very few flights in or out of Europe from or to the States ... and lots of people standing by.

I don't think it has anything to do with race and am amazed that such a connection wuld even be made.

He can't attend the funeral of every world leader. Also not in attendance at Thatcher's funeral were:

Former U.S. President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton

Former U.S. First Lady Nancy Reagan, who asked Fred Ryan, Chairman of the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation, to represent her

    Former Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev

Former U.S. President George W. Bush

    German Chancellor Angela Merkel

I think this was more about who SHE was than wo these people are.

I'm not a socialist by any stretch of the imagination. But it does raise the legitimacy of Blacks saying that a lot of White people are ignorant to the level of racism that still exists toward Blacks by Whites.
