The radio said this morning that every state in the union had a place where the temperature was below freezing today, even Hawaii.

Indy got a foot of snow more or less a couple of days ago. The ole West Wind drifted it up real nice. But then a polar vortex came down and hit Indy real hard, bringing everything to a standstill and causing many injuries and some deaths, as everything is suspended until the minus 34 wind chill goes away. The roads are like the old-fashioned washboards as salt won't work in such low temperatures, as you know.

With George Bush's banning of the incandescent light bulb, expect even lower temperatures in the future.

Looks like Al Gore needs to write another book: "How to Survive Global Warming in an Igloo."

We definitely need more survival skills.

Then there is the spiritual warfare--we ain't seen nothing yet.

    Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

    I don't think he's correct. It's 67 in Honolulu right now.

We had crazy weather because we got 8" of snow on Thursday/Friday, record cold temps over the weekend then Sunday was 60 degree!! But yesterday the temps started at 57 and dropped to a low of 4 this morning. Today is quite chilly. :) But honestly, I don't think this is that much different than when I was a kid going to school. I remember bitterly cold days, snow and all sorts of things. It's just climate doing what climate does. :)

Oh, I think that they were talking about the Mauna Kea Observatory or something like that in Hawaii.

We had colder temperatures and more snow before the so-called vortex. Just north of us they had 202" of snowfall for the season pre-vortex and perhaps another 3-4 feet from now until Friday.

It was -4 this morning. Granted, that's a bit brisk but it is no where near record setting. Record low temp for 1/7 is -21. Lot of hype.

Eureka, which has cool temps even in summer (according to those who are in the know) had a low of 37, higher by 2 degrees than our overnight low here in San Pablo.
Both places are in California, about 100 miles apart.
I trust California is still a state in the union ?

Our high temps have been in the 50's and 60's lately--down from the 70's just a few days ago. I actually had to wear a coat outside once. :tongue3:
