Was wondering, was Odrama there interviewing for the popes job :) I'm sure he would love that pontificating.

Have you watched any of these in real time?

I honestly don't think he's bowing here, or in several others. He is a rather tall man and seems to be nodding his head to make someone else feel comfortable. Being 6'5" I do this often because most people are shorter. I'm not bowing when I do it, but am unconsciously trying to make them feel at ease.

Somebody will inevitably call me a "Obama supporter" or something like that, so fine, whatever. I didn't vote for the President either time. Just an observation. :)

It appears to me that you are correct - his nod of the head was hardly a bow of obeisance.

Could be he did a bow just enough to appease some, but not enough of a bow so he could deny it. Hmmm, would that be his MO?

I think this is an exercise in straining at gnats, or straining out gnats, I am not sure which.

It looked like just a head nod of greeting to me. No need to look further.

That's what the White House staff claimed back in 2009 when he bowed to King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia. I'd say the same thing about this comment as I did then, but it's a family board.

The Little Marxist Dictator is only four inches taller than the pope, so it's doubtful it was anything like that. It was a bow.

Nothing like that. Just call it what it is, though, because it was a bow, intentionally granted. This honyock occupying the White House doesn't respect the office or the country, so he's going to show deference to other world leaders when it is not considered proper, in the etiquette of American presidents, to do so.

Lets see who is honest around here... Who bowed and who nodded their head?
Maybe I can come up with a new nickname for the airhead "king" in the White House ... how about the "Bowing Big Cheese"? Ya see, he's got a habit of violating U.S. presidential protocol:
