You know that I know, that I know that you know, what it is that you know. You know?

Just being clear with the board that I wasn't trying to pull a crabby, you know, like how he will post about some humanist and talk about great and wonderful a follower of Christ that they are, etc., etc.

I thought for years that Michael Landon was Mormon…don’t’ know why…I guess someone I trusted told me that. Turns out he was agnostic. Oh well…that’s the way rumors go I guess. .

While watching Little House or Bonanza reruns as a kid with my parents, I was always told he was Jewish (why that would really matter I don't know) but they always had to share that.

Unsupported rumors.

I can admit when I'm wrong. Perhaps I am. We both heard all along he was gay. I'll gladly apologize if he was not. Both my wife and I discussed this and she heard the same and a lot of people we've known have heard the same.

That said, I will gladly admit when wrong and accept the facts. :)

If I recall correctly (and that's a BIG if) he was from a Jewish background. His son is Christian and has discussed the faith (or lack thereof) of his father...although Michael Landon did promote family values (even as he failed to live by them). I still like Little House and Bonanza....and even..wait for it...wait for it..."Touched by an Angel." :tonofbricks:

ML was on "Highway to Heaven"

Ahhh...that is what I meant..."Highway to Heaven". Thank you. It was a disappointment for me to read of ML's son account of his father...but then again, that is expected of men.

For a so-called "Preacher For Truth" to make unsubstantiated and unsupported disparagements of a man reveals the accuser as nothing such as his handle would indicate. More like purveyor of lies and gossip. If you don't know, and have no evidence, best to keep silent.

He has already said he was wrong. Let it go.

Sad to see one James Garner passed away today. Great actor, seemed like a great guy in real life too.

Makes you feel old when all the actors you followed and liked are passing away! Then you see names of younger actors and you say to yourself, "Who are they?" I feel like I am turning into my parents, day by day! LOL

Jim was a great actor and he will be missed!

Jim Garner was one of my favorite all-time actors. I remember seeing "Support Your Local Sheriff" during my junior year of high school and laughing my fool head off. Then along came "Rockford" and I was hooked. Really enjoyed "The Notebook" with him and Gena Rowlands, his long-time wife (in the movie) who was suffering from late-stage Alzheimer's. She wrote a diary about her life, and told her husband (Garner) to read it to her every day so she could remember. By the time frame of the movie, she couldn't even remember that it was them in the "Notebook," but he still read it to her every day. It is a great story.

So were all his other works.
