The US and UN are ramping up the urgency to bring a halt to the Israeli - Hamas fight. They say they are concerned with the civilian deaths? But where is the concern in Syria? Or Iraq? Or Nigeria and Sudan? How about all the deaths right here in Chicago? Isn't this collateral damage to gang and drug wars? And there is Honduras, if it is so bad there that the illegals may qualify for Refugee status, what about the violence and death there involving citizens?

Why is it always the fault of Israel when Hamas starts a war? Are we, the world blind, or do we see that Hamas and its splinter groups are at the center of the deaths by the reckless way they use their citizens and homes to hide weapons?

    What say you!

Hamas hides behind women and children and even then they are losing so Europe and the USA will have to rescue Hamas from annihilation. You know Hamas is losing because they all of a sudden want a truce.

The U.N. ceasefire demand -- not binding on anyone, fortunately -- refuses to recognize Israel's right to defend itself.
Surprisingly, the U.N. resolution doesn't require Israel to withdraw to its borders, but it does demand a unilateral ceasing of hostilities, as though Hamas is going to honor that.
