I'm surprised some atheist group has not yet complained.

Legally what she is doing is illegal based on the Civil Rights Act.

The Syracuse Chiefs (AAA Baseball team) went thru this same general thing a few years ago.

She's not discriminating ... anyone who prays gets the discount, the way I read the article. If atheists what to pray, what's stopping them.

    Matthew 6:
5 And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

Key phrase - those "that may be seen of men" - "They have their reward"

MP - please do not take Scripture out of context.

Now MP, please answer this question - should the restaurant have the right to give that discount?

The whole idea was to be "seen of men" in order to get a discount.

Your question is irrelevant. It is against federal anti-discrimination statutes. Don't like the law, work to change it.

Can you tell me which statute in particular was violated?

Yes or No: Did Jesus sin when he prayed to the Father before men in John 12:27-30?

Are you Christ? Are the diners in that establishment?

Part of the body of Christ. Where's your Yes or No?
And was Jesus subject to different rules and that's how he was sinless?

Evidently you did NOT read the question I asked.

I did NOT ask you if it was legal, I asked
"should the restaurant have the right to give that discount? "
Another words is the current law bad?

and as far as your first statement - you are incorrect as the "discount was not advertised - it was just given at the discretion of the waitress.

Advertised doesn't matter. It is still violating the equality of access to publicly offered goods and / or services.

The current law is absolutely good. And a Christian business owner should adhere to the law unless it is a gross moral violation. This is not.

Look if you don't want to answer my question - than say so.

So I guess that means you think that giving a discount to senior citizens is illegal as well.

Reread my reply and tell me how your question wasn't answered. And apparently, you refuse to answer mine. It can't be a one way interview, as engaging and captivating as I happen to be.

A- is the owner following the law -
B- is the law a good law or a bad law

    My answers
    A - No
    B - Bad law

    MP's answers

    I earlier said:

"The current law is absolutely good. And a Christian business owner should adhere to the law unless it is a gross moral violation. This is not."

So if you need a form with A and B filled out,
    A. No
    B. Good law

My inquiry to you was likely on the other thread about separation of state and church in public schools. Going back and forth gets an old man confused regarding which thread he is in. There were several, but how about checking there...particularly the one about the Mormon teacher.
