Everyone deserves another chance ... that is what America is all about. After all, all the high profile sports folks are entitled and are somewhat above the law.

Vick is back after animal cruelty. So let Rice play. After all, he's surely not going to KNOCK out another football player?

It is a known fact, abusive males don't hit other men. And when this guys wife grows tired of being his punching bag, she'll get millions in a divorce and a book deal to boot. I just hope the media remembers that she, not Rice, through them and Goodell under the bus.

So, should Rice play this year or sit out a year?

    You sound bitter toward women.

Zero tolerance for all men who are abusive!

And this is what we call victim blaming 101. Please stop.

You must be living in a parallel universe, CTB, if you get from what I said that I am bitter towards women!

I am being tongue-in-cheek about how upset I am that Rice may play football again, and I am showing discontent with his abused wife for throwing the media and women and men against physical abuse, "under the bus" with her comments on the Sunday News network!

The scariest call a cop can receive from dispatch is the domestic violence call! In most cases, when the cop arrests the husband/boyfriend for what is clearly physical battering of the spouse/other party, they are often attacked by the victim!

This is expected, and every cop is aware of the possibility. In the case of this woman, while I see her as a victim, I also see her as a woman who needs Rice to continue to provide her lifestyle, and she wants this so badly that she is willing to attack those who were only looking out for her well being. Usually this kind of kick back comes at the time of the punishment or arrest, in the case of this woman, it was well planned out, and I am not so sure that she is more wiling and enabling than a victim! That is my opinion, and just like yours, I have one, and only time will tell if I'm right.

Another woman who liked the fame and money more than the mental abuse and embarrassment of a cheating husband was Hillary! She cared more about what she had and not wanting to lose it, that she stayed in a marriage to a philandering husband who happened to also be the POTUS!

Is this wrong? I think some spouses make decisions based on their own welfare, and safety, while others make it on what they will lose if they leave a bad situation. Hillary and Mrs. Rice are but two wealthy, prominent women who based their decision to remain in a bad marriage for selfish reasons, IMHO!

Now you heard my opinion, and I don't believe it is from the "Victim Blaming 101" course you took at your liberal university!

Referring to her as a punching bag is yet another disgusting analogy that you have contributed this week. You are now accusing her of staying in the relationship for selfish reasons which is beyond presumptuous.

Oh, and I went to the Virginia Military Institute in Lexington, Virginia. Not exactly known as a liberal bastion.

And you want me to be impressed. Went to, is not the same as graduating. As for liberal bastion, anyone drinking the kool aid can be brain washed. So don't brag. You are not a liberal by choice. "This ones will is weak?"

Yes, he can have a second chance. Seems to be getting things together with his family. He has apologized, is getting counseling and has the support of his wife.

Zero tolerance (though easy and sounds great) is zero thinking, we has a society can do better.

That is a fair point. I agree to a degree. But, only because the victim is saying she is not a victim. Should he EVER hit another woman, he should be out at least a year.

I didn't post it to brag. I posted it because you accused me of having been brain washed by some liberal college. I did graduate by the way.

Probably should be in prison for that year.

Zero tolerance, fine. But forgiveness upon genuine repentence is biblical. However, I seriously doubt that, given only 4 weeks remaining, any team would take on the publicity circus for a running back that, from his 2013 numbers, was past his prime. IMO, and barring another act of total stupidity, Rice will almost certainly be invited to one or more training camps next summer.

    Absolutely he should.

America, much like Christianity, is a place of second chances. I'd give him a second chance.
