A 41-year-old Ohio man armed with several knives tried to buy a plane ticket with a fake ID before being gunned down by police after lunging at an officer with a blade outside the Columbus airport, police said.

Hashim Hanif Ibn Abdul-Rasheed had parked illegally outside the ticketing terminal and was acting bizarrely as he tried to buy a ticket to an undisclosed location Wednesday afternoon. He showed off a woman’s ID to try and make the buy at one point before he was rebuffed, cops said.

He was heavily armed and no one really knows what his intent was.

Stories like this only mean something when there's at least three occurrences. Then we've got a pattern.

This is another story that shouldn't be much of a story unless it's tied to something else. Otherwise, it just contributes to phobias about all Muslims.

He didn't get took. "Muslim" was in the original title too. :smilewinkgrin:

It read something like "Muslim dressed as a woman tries to buy plane ticket".

I think carpro probably decided to change it after going through the story and it saying that the guy just had a female's ID. He wasn't dressed like a female.

So unless the title has been changed three or four times and the word left out, there shouldn't have been any missing of MUSLIM in the title.

Oh well.
