This is an improvement and I hope the numbers become even better.

Too bad there is such a big difference between health insurance and health care.

A large part of the newly insured are on Medicaid...

The problem is most doctors will either not accept Medicaid or are not accepting new Medicaid patients.

Many of the new Obamacare insured can not afford the deductible so they are not going to the doctor or are still going to the emergency room instead.

I would predict that this is the highwater mark for Obamacare as many will not be renewing - the death spriral for Obamacare.

Wonderful news. But will the GOP insist on making those numbers go back down?

However the deductibles are now $500,000.00.

You can see by others replies how they do not like people who do not fit their political mold having insurance. Wonder what they would be saying if they were ones who had no insurance but are now able to have insurance?

Perhaps you could address the specific points that I made instead of attacking others.

They are consistent with being against anything that helps the poor or needy. Strange coming from Christians.

I'm not so sure that anyone can see that from the two replies that point out the real problem of high deductibles with Obamacare.

    Perhaps you could explain it.

How do high deductibles and a lack of access to doctors under Medicaid help the poor?

How was no deductible and no access to doctors helping the poor? The ACA may not be the best plan, but at least, unlike the GOP, Obama's administration is trying to at least help.

I've seen stats that say differently. The numbers you give are speaking about welfare and seniors, mandatory coverage, but the percentage of Americans who have insurance they must pay for is nowhere near your figures.

Sure obamacare is reaching folks, CTB, but last month I lost a long time friend to cancer. Cancer that may have been treatable had obamacare not put her off until the cancer was so wide spread that she lived three months.

So please don't sing praises of this p**spoor socialist insurance that no one knows how to use it to the point that people are dying.

It is now; was then; and will always be Obama's 500 page plan that we needed to read after it passed so we'd see how it works. It should be scrapped. And the government can replace it with a plan that anyone needing medical care can utilize nearby military hospitals; nearby VA Centers; and large HMO's when needed. Than the government can simply pay back these facilities for services rendered. A lot less expensive, and everyone gets help.

Obamacare like the man, is nothing more than lies, and dysfunctional organization. Say goodnight Gracie!

Actually it is taxpayers who are helping- with a sidearm (aka IRS) pointing at them

What about those who had insurance, but were forced to lose their insurance for another, lesser insurance? Or those who did not want insurance, but were forced, by law, to purchase insurance? Or what about those who were forced to be put on government welfare insurance?

You brag about 9 out of 10 people allegedly having insurance, but you fail to consider whether it's what they wanted.

Thank God, we're exempt from this insanity.

Actually the GOP proposed several good plans. Harry Reid refused to let any of them see the light of day.

This is a thoughtful and respectful challenge. That's why it won't be answered. Instead, you are the victim of false witness.

What does "trying to help" do if it is no help at all?

In fact, Obamacare has only worsened the problem for many because now, in addition to not being able to afford care - due to high deductibles - the poor have the added burden of paying a premium to boot.

Thanks, Curtis. I try to ignore the personal attacks because they are just an attempt to dodge the issues.

Did they propose them before or after the ACA had passed? Because it's one thing if you were moving first to help someone. And an entirely different something if you move to help just because you disagree with someone else's version of the help.
