"I won't take responsibility for slavery simply because I'm white. That's ridiculous."

I come from poor white trash. My ancestors on my dad's side were share croppers during the Civil War period. No slaves owned there. On my mom's side is native American and share cropping. Again, no slaves owned. In fact, share cropping could be equated with slavery. In, most white folk's ancestors never owned a slave.

And yall continue to not have a clue all the while acting as though slave ownership by some whites period hasn't afforded all white people privileges.

I pray that God continue to open the floodgates of this country's borders so that we are overrun by Black and Brown people to the point that the white majority is thrust into the minority.

Maybe then things will make a little bit more sense to some of you.

Zaac it's like what Tim Keller (pastor, theologian, Christian apologist, and author) said:
"White people" don't have a concept of "corporate responsibility" which prevents them from dealing with "corporate evil" or "systemic racism."

They don't have it when it applies to THEM. When it applies to Blacks, everything is corporate. Blacks don't take care of their families. Blacks are more violent Blacks commit more crime. Black on Black crime.

Everything about Blacks is cast as "the corporate community of Blacks". But you start talking about white people, and suddenly everyone becomes an INDIVIDUAL.

And you are absolutely correct. It keeps folks from having to admit that there is systemic racism and prejudice from which they have benefited.
The Bible supports the practice of corporate responsibility, Keller further explained. In Joshua 7, corporate responsibility in family is illustrated when Akin and his family are punished for Akin's sin of taking the wealth for himself. Daniel 9 demonstrates corporate responsibility for an entire culture because it shows how the prophet Daniel repents for the sins of his ancestors and sins that he individually didn't commit.

Christians need to see systemic evil, take responsibility, and come alongside those who recognize systemic evil to articulate their concerns.

Nobody on this board has worked as long or as hard as I have to improve the quality of life for young black men. Or Puerto Rican. Or Cape Verdian. Or Asian.

So shove it, Zaac.

If any of you ever find yourselves in Missoula, look me up. If you can keep up with me, I guarantee you will never accuse me of not caring.

Especially you, RT.

Or better yet...everyone on this board whose ancestor has owned a slave, or raped or murdered a black person in the last 400 years, go apologize. Now.

Well, that still excuses me. My ancestors weren't slave owners. In fact, maybe I should get mad at the white man; after all, I'm a little over 1/8th native American.

I appreciate the invitation...though I don't know if I would ever find myself in Minnesota. Is there even an airport near Missoula?

LOL. Yeah, we got an airport. But it's in Montana.

You still rule up there in the sanctification/propitiation debate. Excellent stuff.

Show me even one way, that I have benefitted from racism and prejudice. And I mean, me, Sapper Woody. Not some nonsense about "old, fat, racially prejudiced white men".

It hasn't made me richer, it hasn't made life easier, it hasn't even stopped me from getting a speeding ticket.

Zaac says...

What Jesus Christ did for all has nothing to do with the unChristlike way some white people have treated Blacks in this country the last 400 years.

Man please, UnChristlike behavior is a sin problem. The way some white people have treated blacks is just that, a sin problem. I’m not taking away from their plight, but if it’s not sin, what does Zaac call it?

1st Corinthians 15:3 “For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures” (NIV)

Christ’s death had everything to do with unChristlike behavior.

I find it most ironic (and seriously funny) that the guy that is telling all of us that we are racist...

...is afraid to go into downtown Atlanta (where black people are) because of the "bad things that happen there."

Christians who treat everyone the same shouldn't have to worry. I'll acknowledge slavery was awful and I will also express heartfelt sorrow for the victims of any crime or indecency perpertrated on them especially if it was racially motivated.

I won't take responsibility for slavery simply because I'm white. That's ridiculous.

Exactly.

I also won't take responsibility for the problems blacks have brought upon themselves.

I don't make them kill and otherwise victimize each other, and I don't make them have so many fatherless children to raise or abandon. That's a lifestyle of their own choosing.

I stand by what I said. The death of Jesus on the Cross doesn't have some white people treating Blacks the way they do.

I didn't say anything about the behavior not being a sin problem.

Keep going, you're doing great! Let it all out. What else does an entire race of people do that you don't like? Don't hold back now. We're all waiting with baited breath.

I know.
And you, nor anyone else, has an answer for these well documented issues related to black families. You won't even address it.

Racism is the be all end all for all race related issues.

It just doesn't wash. The facts clearly state otherwise.

The whining by blacks and well intentioned white apologists needs to stop. And it will when they actually face and attack the basis for all their whining.

I don't look for that to happen anytime soon. Whining and finger pointing is in vogue. Personally responsibility isn't.

Do you find irony in your penchant for telling lies? I've never once said I was afraid to go into downtown Atlanta. And I said I don't go into the city unless I have to.

And a child has the reading ability to see where I said too much black and white crime.

So give the devil back his lies.

I'm a grown man. What do I look like being afraid to go where people are?

No, I get it. You've made it pretty clear how you feel about black people. Fantastic work!
