Once again, immigrants living in Minnesota have been arrested by FBI & DHS for trying to travel to Syria to join ISIS.

What I find interesting is that these young men were brought here by the US to live in America and escape terrorism in their homelands. So if we, as a nation, know these immigrants are wanting to fight us, WHY are we still bringing them and their families here.

Over the weekend, the UN requested that America take another 75,000 Syrian citizens, trying to escape terror and war. BTW - that number reflects a small percentage of the Muslim Africans fleeing their countries because of war with ISIS in their homelands and heading to the EU.

Even the EU is unprepared to properly screen and vet the rush of immigrant refugees. Is it any wonder the West is concerned with homegrown threats of terror? And citizens of EU nations are angry with the influx of refugees being allowed to remain and have rights as well as take precious jobs. Kinda sounds like America, huh?!?

What should we as a nation do to stop this madness before they decide to stop trying to leave America and just attack us where they live? :flower:

Once again you are a fount of misinformation.

They weren't Arabs. The families were originally from Somali. They are naturalized U..S. citizens.

Four were arrested in Minnesota, two in California (San Diego)

They are between 18 and 21 years old and probably came to the U.S. as children. From thence forward they were recruited by radical Islamists.

I humbly admit I was incorrect. Thanks for catching that.
However, on the same front, you have made an error too, in that there was only one San Diego resident arrested.

An eight-year federal investigation into terrorist recruiting yielded what authorities say is one of its biggest breakthroughs Monday, when six Somali-Americans from Minnesota were charged with planning to leave the United States and fight alongside Islamic extremist groups.

Two of the six were arrested by the FBI on Sunday in San Diego, where they intended to pick up passports and then cross into Mexico to board a flight to the Middle East, federal authorities said.

The other four were arrested Sunday by FBI agents at various locations across the Twin Cities.

All six were charged Monday with conspiracy to aid and support a terrorist organization, specifically the group calling itself the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).

Well we always seem to be on opposite pages, and now opposite news sites, but the International Business Times reports that only one was arrested in San Diego. Also our local news states the same, and Fox agrees. So we are at odds, but that ain't nothing new when it comes to you.

Since the suspects were from Minneapolis, and since the reporters here have informants within the Somali community, I'm going to go with the home newspaper.

The story was updated this morning on the Star Tribune:
On Sunday, the FBI arrested two Minneapolis men — Mohamed Abdihamid Farah and Abdirahman Yasin Daud — in San Diego, allegedly on their way to cross into Mexico and board a flight to the Middle East. Four others — Adnan Abdihamid Farah, Hanad Mustafe Musse, Guled Ali Omar and Zacharia Yusuf Abdurahman — were arrested in the Twin Cities.

A San Diego federal judge Monday ordered two men arrested on terrorism charges held without bail.

    New York Times:
The other two were detained in San Diego, where officials said they had driven to buy fake passports, hoping to cross into Mexico and continue to Syria from there.

    From Fox News:

"All six were arrested Sunday. Adnan Farah, Abdurahman, Musse and Omar were arrested in Minneapolis. They entered no plea, as is standard, during an initial court appearance Monday and were ordered held pending detention hearings Thursday.

Mohamed Farah and Daud were arrested Sunday in San Diego and appeared in court there."

A big thank you to the fact police. Just glad you didn't beat me up in the process of righting what you see as wrong.

But while you find it all joy in correcting me, could you please do likewise with the editor and writer of the following:

"The report quoted a Somali woman in Minneapolis as saying she was the mother of two of those arrested. She said agents showed up at her house around noon, arresting the son (who was home In Minnesota) and seizing a tablet belonging to the other son, who was arrested in San Diego. A second Somali woman said her son was arrested in Minneapolis shortly after returning home from work."

    Also on: http://abcnews.go.com/US/minnesota-men-charged-allegedly-isis/story?id=30435620

"Zacharia Yusuf Abdurahman, 19, Adnan Farah, 19, Hanad Mustafe Musse, 19, and Guled Ali Omar, 20, were arrested in Minneapolis on Sunday. Abdirahman Yasin Daud, 21, and Mohamed Abdihamid Farah, 21, were arrested the same day in California after driving from Minneapolis to San Diego, allegedly on their way to Mexico and then Syria."

Look guys, we all know that the media gets things wrong. I am only going on what I read in my sources!

:godisgood: Can we call it a draw? And end this war of posting links with a spirit of Christian love? :jesus:

    Please :praying:

So happy that none of you chose to attack me after the other articles showed that my view was not false. Still, if I can apologize for mistakes it is a shame those who rushed to judgement didn't do likewise. Shalom!

    Your second quote, re-highlighted.

    Nothing to apologize for.

    From your first link:

Zacharia Yusuf Abdurahman, 19, Adnan Farah, 19, Hanad Mustafe Musse, 19, and Guled Ali Omar, 20, were arrested in Minneapolis on Sunday. Abdirahman Yasin Daud, 21, and Mohamed Abdihamid Farah, 21, were arrested the same day in California after driving from Minneapolis to San Diego.

    From your second link:

6 Arrested In Minneapolis, San Diego In Alleged ISIS-Related Plot

Federal agents Sunday arrested at least six people in Minneapolis and San Diego in what was described as an ISIS-related terror plot. Minneapolis U.S. Attorney Andrew Luger told Minnesota Public Radio nearly simultaneous arrests were made in the two cities.
