We do not participate directly in their perversion and sin. Old Andy can say what he wants but condoning acting in sin is contrary to his calling.

I can guarantee you that this article is missing a key ingredient: that active homosexuality is a sin. Andy knows that and preaches that. However what he's NOT preaching is locking the doors to a gay person entering his church to find the truth. How can we expect change in the lives of gay people without the Gospel?

Exactly. That's why I've said in the past that we can't modern day lepers out of these people. Let them into the church but explain that we don't tolerate sexual sin from heterosexuals or homosexuals.

The overarching approach has to be one that allows us to minister to them where they are while still giving them the truth and not compromising on Christian values.

The specificity of words...sometimes Van is right.

Who's not letting them into the church? When "church" is used in this context, are we speaking of the gathering place, or the universal body of believers?

If we're talking about either, what does that have to do with baking them a cake? How can we let them be a part of the universal body, not compromising on Christian values -- and say we need to bake the cake?

There's everything right about loving, helping out with needs, and sharing your faith.
It is not just silly, but horribly wrong to say that means helping someone in their efforts to celebrate sin.

BTW just because it's a "Mega Church" don't mean a lot if the teaching is watered down.
