Wonder if he touched on repentance for the homosexual offense or the thousands upon thousands of other offenses made by individuals?

Convince them about homosexuality and if they are lost, you won the debate, but they still go to hell.

If you are wondering so much, then why don't you find us the transcript so we can see his comments, which this "news article" doesn't seem to supply?

Do news articles regularly provide transcripts of speeches?

When the entire article is about a person's comments, I would expect at least a quote of the comments in question.

Pen the story and you can quote whatever you want.

Right...until then we should all just jump on your bandwagon and condemn this guy based on gossip, right?

First - the title is misleading!
The pastor spoke at the baccalaureate service - a service that seniors were NOT required to attend.
In addition, the speaker is NOT chosen by the school.

Silliness. Nobody asked you to jump on anything. Sounds like some sort of repression to me. I posted a story. If you don't like the way the author wrote it, shoot him an email.

I doubt any pastor or believer can condemn anyone to hell. If by quoting God's wrath towards those who commit a sexual sin and refuse to repent and walk away in a new direction will put the self on a road to hell, then that is within the rights of those commissioned to preach the Gospel. We can't candy coat or be selective in applying the Word to sin and the sinner. God condemns the unrepented sinner to hell. Not the preacher or believer who speaks the truth in love and concern toward the sinner with the hope of getting them to recognize their sin, repent and turn before it is too late.

Zaac. Quit playing word games when it comes to the responsibility to share the Gospel.

That's exactly what I thought when I saw the title. No man has the power or authority to condemn anyone to hell. That is strictly God's domain.

God's word tends to do that to those who reject Him.

Joh 6:60 Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard this, said, This is an hard saying; who can hear it?
Joh 6:61 When Jesus knew in himself that his disciples murmured at it, he said unto them, Doth this offend you?

By the same token, stop talking to us about how the police conduct their business. If you don't like they way they do it, go talk to them.

How many "rich young rulers" did Christ drive away from himself?
