In socialist Venezuela under their President Maduro the people are suffering 25,000 murders per year, 90%of those murders going unpunished. Inflation is running at a rate of 500% or the highest rate in the world. The Venezuelan bolivar, once worth about 5 per dollar has sunk to 409 per dollar and the people are converting to dollars as the national currency just as Ecuadorans did a few years ago to prevent the federal government from stealing their money. Needless to say, Venezuelan stores are empty of all merchandise.

In Venezuela where people stand in line for 4 hours just to buy a couple of rolls of toilet paper, it looks as a use might be found for the worthless bolivar.

The socialists took an oil-rich economy and turned it into a Haiti just as the Castros took Cuba, the highest standard of living in Latin America and better than southern Europe, and turned it into a Haiti.

And it is what obama and company wants to do with the US.

The election of Maduro after the death of Chavez is considered fraudulent and an unfair election with Maduro polling perhaps no more than a fourth of the populace. That is the reason that Rafael Correa in Ecuador is considered the most charismatic of the cabal of Castro, Maduro, Morales(Bolivia) , Ortega the child molester (Nicaragua) and Correa.

The election of Maduro...

...2013, may have been fraudulent; the 2007 article I linked to pertains to Chavez.

Were these elections fraudulent?:

"...Released from prison after two years, he founded a political party known as the Fifth Republic Movement and was elected president of Venezuela in 1998. He was re-elected in 2000 and again in 2006 with over 60% of the vote. After winning his fourth term as president in the October 2012 presidential election,[2] he was to be sworn in on 10 January 2013..."

....sounds eerily similar to Castro coming to power if memory serves me right.

Well, yes, you are correct that Chavez was a communist type. He was a corporal in the army (like Napoleon and Adolph) and rose to the top and died with 5 or 6 billion dollars. Maduro, the chosen successor of Chavez, lacks charisma and was rejected by the people but his police and military counted the votes in a crooked election. The leading opponent, charismatic, aristocratic Leopoldo Lopez has been in prison for the last year.

Castro never held elections. In January 1959, Castro promised that Batista would be the last dictator that Cuba ever had and there would be free elections. Fifty-six years later, Cuba is the longest surviving dictatorship in Latin America although Fidel due to poor health transferred power to his brother Raul.

It has been shown from historical records that the rations allotted by plantation owners to Cuban slaves were actually higher that the official Cuban governments current rations to the Cuban people.

Both countries went from very high per capita incomes to poverty with Cubans being just a little better than the very bottom, North Korea.

,,,,and again, it's eerily similar to Castro; just as Castro claimed Jewish roots, so do these:

Venezuela’s ‘anti-Semitic’ leader admits Jewish ancestry

...but so it went with Karl Marx also....

Thanks! I really appreciate that information! I knew that Fidel and Raul said that their mother, a maid in their father's household, was Jewish but I never knew that Maduro claimed Jewish roots. Maduro strikes me as openly cold-blooded. He probably looted the treasury and caused the collapse of the currency. He is not totally dependent upon oil because Caracas is the main export point for drugs from Latin America. China and Iran and Russia are in a quandary because the Castros are old and everyone believes that they have murdered at least 16,000 people, Maduro is a murdering dog, Morales (Bolivia) is a nut who was a drug planter and grower, Ortega is a child molester, and Correa in Ecuador is losing power and popularity in spite of his charisma because some old, established families still control enough media to publish the truth about his thefts (Ecuador dollarized a few years ago).
