I think that is a decent man, but he was ineffective as Speaker. It was time.

Personally, I think that as both a Congressman from Ohio's 8th District as well as Speaker of the House--which puts him right after VPOTUS Joe Biden to succeed to the office of POTUS--John Boehner was too much of a RINO.

As titular head of the GOP, he failed to maintain a strong hand in opposition to Obama's socialist agenda. He may have talked a lot about the way Obama's socialist tenets will ultimately destroy our society, but when it came to actually leading the GOP House Caucus to vote against our ultra-leftist POTUS, IMHO, he could have done a whole lot more than he did to put an end to Obama's proto-communist designs for the USA.

I just hope that the next US Speaker of the US House will lead the GOP away from letting the US being a what the USSR was for almost 3/4th's of the 20th century.

If the GOP replaces Boehner with McCarthy then nothing will change. The true conservatives in the GOP House need to fight hard for a Speaker who will oppose Obama.

I think the Pope's visit brought about a seminal moment, an epiphany of sorts within Boehner in which he realized just how wicked and anti-Christ the GOP had become.

In listening to the Pope and all the things he spoke to for helping people, I think Boehner finally realized that his party has been and continues to be in opposition to those things the Pope espoused.

One would think that if there were many practicing Catholics in Congress who heard the Pope, they'd all resign or refrain from being against everything.

Perhaps Boehner realized that the way of the GOP does not keep with the Golden Rule.

    A New Calling For Boehner

Boehner said, the Pope came up to him and ask Boehner to pray for him. Until that moment Boehner didn't realize how important he was. Know doubt, Boehner will spend the rest of his life being a intercessor between his god and the Pope. :praying:

Maybe after speaking with the Pope Boehner realized that the Pope is a political prostitute who is betraying Christianity and selling out the principles of freedom.

Is that supposed to make me feel better that this Pope is preaching globalism and earth worship as the cure for man's ills?

Nope, just saying to many he has little to no standing on "Christian" matters. Though, this kind of discussion is better handled in the "Other Denominations" Forum.

Do you think Christians in that forum would recognize that this Pope is working with the global elite in pushing for a corporate fascist New World Order?

    I have my doubts.
