If the parents want to psycholocally traumatize their child, I suggest it is their job. They shouldn't expect others to do it for them.

The classroom aide was on tv saying that the little girl would often cry and insist that she was a girl. It seems that her parents were trying to make the little girl into a mental case.

Crazy. But if management has already instructed her on what to do, she had to make the choice. She chose to not do it and was rightly terminated according to the laws of that state. Now I would suggest to such facilities and school systems that a policy be drawn up that says that parents must present documented proof from a licensed psychologist attesting to the child being transgendered:rolleyes: in order for them to make any such accommodations.

Otherwise, they are just dealing with parents who are gonna screw up a kid's head just because they are spineless and bend to the whims and fancy of a child.

It was a matter of days. The little girl decided over a weekend that she wanted to be a boy. The parents agreed. But it can't be that simple. Five or six year olds can't process that kind of stuff. I can't either and I'm considerably older. It would have been terribly confusing to her classmates for 'her' to suddenly become a 'him.'

What I don't understand is this: I think the school chain is Christian. Why would this go down at all?

My friend's daughter was about that age when she decided she wanted to be called "Steve". So to humor her, we'd call her Steve when we saw her but we would also call her by her given name as well. She's now a lovely 19 year old who is a female wrestler (and very good at it) but LOVES her girly stuff too. She still laughs at wanting to be called Steve. :)

I agree, parents are bringing this on their children. If someone grows up and decides that's what they want, then so be it (I am in no way condoning it) but my son has said he was a girl before and I am intelligent enough to know that at 3 years old he doesn't know what he is talking about! He is 6 now and he is ALL BOY...but some parents these days run with something so innocent and convince their kids that they were born wrong instead of teaching them that God doesn't make mistakes and that is how God made them.

When I was growing up if a girl acted like a boy it was called being a tom boy. What ever happened to that?!

    This is an excellent post.

So a SIX-YEAR-OLD GIRL has already established her gender identity? I guess if she wants to vote, drive a car or purchase real estate, she should be accommodated in similar fashion?

    Amazing....

    Regards,
    BiR

This is just how ridiculously silly some parents are. They want to try so hard to be their child's friend and just go along with whatever, that they have no comprehension of the damage they are doing. This is why God gave absolute truth as parameters within for us to operate.

Somebody needs to send them into Judge Judy's court so she can tell them how stupid they sound taking orders from a six year old.

Although I feel sorry for the childcare center manager for getting fired from her job, I have more sympathy towards the little girl. It looks like she has nutcase parents.

I can't believe she was fired. Actually I can believe it. It's ridiculous for parents to brainwash their children into thinking things like this are okay. There's so much political corectness that a Christian isn't allowed to stnad on their beliefs or they'll be persecuted. I'm glad she stood up for what was true and right.

Call Child Protective Services and have the child removed from her home where she is being subjected to severe psychological abuse.

The entire situation is messed up. That poor little girl. She is going to have a lot of problems in life with parents like she has. I feel really badly for her. She is only 6 years old. Things are only going to get worse as more stories like this come to light.

Things like this show how the government is infringing on our religious rights more and more. Someone doesn't religiously or morally believe in recognizing transgender people - get fired. How come some groups of people get protection but people exercising Christian religious values don't?

It's open season on Christians. Has been for awhile. But it's official now, Christians no longer have the protection of the first amendment.
