Four prominent NBA stars use ESPY dais to show support for high profile black thugs shot by police.

    http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/b...ustice-violence-espy-awards-article-1.2710404

I have to wonder how "white" professional athletes using a network awards show to promote the names of those cops who have been behind the trigger of the guns who killed the thugs those NBA stars named last night, would be received by the public?

The issues continue to boil, and if those who are responsible adults don't stop fanning the flames, things will get out of hand to a place that may change America forever. And while some think this is necessary, once this thing reaches that point, it may be beyond the point of no return.

Were these NBA stars right or wrong and was that the right place to fan the flames of racial tension?

The BLM attitude is that they're above the law and common decency because their cause is [self-]righteous. A black employee at Yale smashed a stained-glass window (in the news this past week) because he said the window was racist. It made him a hero to those of the BLM attitude.

NBA stars have the BLM attitude, so they think it's okay for them to hijack the awards show.

My message to these highly privileged athletes is:

    Shut up and play.

When I see you in black ghettos trying to change lives and break up gangs, I'll listen.

I invite you to look into the philanthropic work of these highly "privileged" athletes and put your money where your mouth is.

It's not me that has to put my money where my mouth is. It's them.

Or now you. Put up or shut up.

Show us what they are doing besides throwing money at it, tax deductible money , at that. Throwing money at it is what the government has been doing for decades and it does no good.

I want to see if they have any skin in the game.

Y'all sound stupid picking on BLM. To hear some of you tell it, they are responsible for all the crime, racism, stolen cars and cats up trees and free Pokemons in the country.

Y'all been listening too much to Bill O'Reilly and Fox News and have made a folk legend out of a group that hasn't done anything.

I was just about to say the same thing. He has no idea what he's talking about when it comes to those four NBA players.

He just naturally dismisses what folks are doing because HE hadn't seen it.

Why don't you do your homework and find out for yourself? They are four grown men who don't have to show you squat.

But again, that's one of the reasons you walk in the racial prejudice that you do.

Big deal. Money , money , money. Of which they have plenty of.

Which of them has been in the hood looking gang leaders in the eye and turning their gangmembers away from the gang life? Which of them has put their lives on the line, like cops do every day?

    Still waiting.

He is retroactively moving goal posts now because he realizes he is about to look dumb. Now his first sentence is in direct conflict with his magically appearing qualifying statements added after I posted.

I mean it takes all of five seconds to find articles for every one of these players that have given more than just money. Wonder where the goal posts will move after he realizes that.

Contrary to your lack of knowledge, what those four have done in their communities is quite public knowledge.

Sure it is. Throw money at it and pay lip service. That's it.

He is such a sad display. He backed himself into a corner because he didn't know what he thought he did. And then starts with his foolishness because he can't stand the fact that you were right and he is wrong .

Setting up foundations, programs and after school activities isn't simply throwing money at the problem. The articles even mention other community service provided by the players. I mean the players aren't cops so the whole breaking up gangs thing is a ludicrous statement at best especially for someone without any skin in the game (like Carpro) to make.

He hilariously bungled his attempt to qualify his first statement too by adding in qualifying statements that were in direct conflict with his overly hostile (as usual) opening statement.

Seriously Carpro, I don't think I've ever seen you post anything that wasn't angry, bitter or rude. It's sad.

So your answer us you don't have any evidence of face to face with gang members or leaders in an effort to change lives. No risk at all, just tax deductible contributions.

I'll stick with my original statement. No "skin in the game" , just money. Like the government has been doing doing for over 50 years and things keep getting worse. If anyone could help stop blacks from killing each other, it should be these well monied heroes and beneficiaries of the system , but all they do is talk and throw their money around...and support the racist murderous organization know as only Black Lives Matter.

I don't have to have evidence. You started your original statement by telling them to put their "money" where their mouth is and then edited it to shift the goal posts to some standard that would keep you the discussion in your favor. I had no doubt you would select the path of willful ignorance. That or you could try reading and maybe understand that these initiatives involve more than throwing money it. They show up at schools and interact with their neighborhoods. I think you want them to be cops or something which is a bar you arbitrarily set as the standard because everybody knows Carpro can do so from the sanctity of his high horse while contributing nothing more than being mad on a message board. I'll say this at a bare minimum they have 100% more skin invested in the game than you. Keep on being miserable and focus your anger at those that have been recognized by their communities for the work they put in...from your secure location on the Internet.
