Phelp's broke an Olympic record set in 152 B.C.

    This is one of those trivia questions that would be hard to believe, but it is apparently true that Michael Phelp's broke Leonides, a Greek runner, who set these records from 164 B.C. to 152 B.C.

    He may actually be the best, if Jesus doesn't return soon, ever. Especially if it takes anther two-thousand years to do what Phelp's has done. I applaud this young man for his commitment and dedication to the sport of swimming. And he has several more opportunities to get maybe three more golds.

    Do you think he may be the best ever, considering this two-thousand year record that he just broke?

    I thought that I read somewhere a while ago that Phelps' success is helped by good genes. Seems to me that he has unusually long arms or something along that line.

    Regardless, it is quite an accomplishment.

    (Disclosure: I do not follow the Olympics, and know nearly nothing about those participating.)
