Did you ever wonder why they call it the "funny bone?" There is nothing funny about it!I hit my own nerve today. Ever do that?
I follow the KOA rule. No, I don't think that is why God would judge a church (a failure to vote in a national election).
I honestly don't understand how folks voting for Trump think they have a moral leg to stand upon to even fix their lips to say anything about abortion or any other moral issue. To be completely honest, I can't imagine why any Christian would vote for Mrs. Clinton considering her stance on the sanctity of life - a stance that is extreme to even many liberals. I honestly feel that anyone who votes for her has blood on their hands and will have quite the time standing before God trying to justify that one.
I follow the KOA rule.
Knowledge -> Opportunity -> Accountability.
If we know abortion is a vile sin, have to opportunity to elect someone who has pledged to do all he can to stop it, and we don't -> God will hold us accountable for the continued slaughter of the innocents.
I'm going to just have to go with the candidate who just might have a chance at promoting the pro-life agenda over going with the very clear pro-death candidate. Just please tell me you are not voting for Mrs. Clinton!
You said that by Blessedwife own criteria her nerve was hit so what do you think her criteria is? I know that your criteria of proof of a hit nerve is a response which given your responses to her prove that she did hit a nerve on more then one occasion. Can't even be original? OK then - prove I didn't hit a nerve in you by not responding to me.

If all God was could be summed up as anti-abortion and if Christ died for the sole purpose of ending abortion, then maybe I would agree. But the argument Christians have against Trump is that they believe voting for him to be standing against God. And if a vote for Trump is also casting approval to his character, his secular enterprises, etc., then they certainly have a valid point. In other words, they can use your argument as justification to try their best to stop Trump from being elected....depending on which sin they believes is most offensive to God. Your argument doesn't hold water on those grounds (which are not mine as I did vote for Trump).I follow the KOA rule.

Foolishness. Just another way of saying to the lost world "I don't care about Trump's adultery, support of gambling, pornography, stealing, lying, cheating, rape of a 13 year old, his serial sexual assault of women, his disparaging remarks about Hispanics, Blacks, gays, and women, that he says he doesn't ask God for forgiveness, etc. The only thing that matters to me is abortion."
It's called idolatry and just like the whole "I'm voting for a platform" excuse, it's another excuse with no justification in Christ.

Zaac, that you don't understand it is not our fault.I honestly don't understand how folks voting for Trump think they have a moral leg to stand upon to even fix their lips to say anything about abortion or any other moral issue.

Funny you should mention it.Did you ever wonder why they call it the "funny bone?" There is nothing funny about it!![]()

No, I don't think that is why God would judge a church (a failure to vote in a national election). It is God, ultimately, who installs and removes governments. And the church is not responsible if Clinton wins (some Christians may not vote because they can't stand behind any who are running, others may vote third party because they cannot stand behind Trump).
That does not, however, absolve the churches in America. Look at the number of churches. Look at the number of professing Christians. Then seriously consider how a party such as the DNC can exist in America today. Seriously consider how the best candidate for the GOP is Donald Trump.
I believe that, either way, this election is a pronouncement of judgment...of the state of our nation as our nation relates to God.
You may be right. I sure do hope Trump wins tomorrow so God will postpone the judgment.
I completely disagree. BOTH candidates are equally flawed (and to be honest, I find what Mrs. Clinton said to be even more offensive than what Donald Trump says because even rap artists don't call handicapped children "retards"). So what do we do? I refuse to not vote. There is NO one in this election who is worthy of voting for but I WILL vote. So I vote for the platform. You may think it's foolishness but it is the best option of very bad options. I have never voted for Mr. Trump before so he was not my choice to get to this point.
Hank that you don't understand that any Christian voting for Trump has thrown away his witness is not my fault either.Zaac, that you don't understand it is not our fault.

Y'all are silly. Idolatry is idolatry. You may be right. I sure do hope Trump wins tomorrow so God will postpone the judgment.
You refuse to NOT vote for one of the two major party candidates. No one said to NOT vote.
And y'all can say you're voting platform all day. Like I said in another thread, a platform doesn't sit in the White House.
The lost don't care that we say we're voting for a platform. They see the WHO. And they know what the Trump WHO has said and done.
