Kellyanne Conway cites ‘Bowling Green massacre’ that never happened to defend travel ban

Kellyanne Conway has taken “alternative facts” to a new level.

During a Thursday interview with MSNBC’s Chris Matthews, the counselor to the president defended President Trump’s travel ban related to seven majority-Muslim countries. At one point, Conway made a reference to two Iraqi refugees whom she described as the masterminds behind “the Bowling Green massacre.”

“Most people don’t know that because it didn’t get covered,” Conway said.

The Bowling Green massacre didn’t get covered because it didn’t happen. There has never been a terrorist attack in Bowling Green, Ky., carried out by Iraqi refugees or anyone else.

The Trump team seems not to be concerned with reality or facts. I would love to be proven wrong. I will wait for Ms. Conway to admit she spoke falsely. Perhaps she can claim it as an error.

She was also slammed on NBC's Today show this morning an hour after her tweet correcting her mistake. Apparently the Today show didn't bother to check her Twitter feed or try to contact her as to her correction.

I don't really follow Twitter, so I don't have an easy way of knowing.

And to be fair, she didn't really claim she misspoke or made an error, she just linked to what really happened.

I was referring to NBC. You can be sure they follow twitter. But she said clearly in live interviews that she misspoke.

The Atlantic and the New York Times are still reporting it like she really thought there was a massacre, even after she admits she misspoke. They are simply leaving out the misspoke part, calling it a "mistake" instead.

Update: CNN is still demanding a response from the White House.

She didn't. Trump's best and brightest appear to be the gang of chronic liars. Networks are beginning to discuss whether they should invite her to their shows seeing as how she cannot be believed. I mean, after all, Bowling Green, alternative facts, etc., etc.

An Obama lover like you should never be critical of liars in politics. You defended every lie he and his administration told. It was practically a full time job for you.

I watched Conway for several months to see if she would mature and begin to tell the truth. She has only gotten worse. They must believe the American people are really stupid when they tell lies that are so easy to show they are lies. She has no credibility IMHO.
