    Just stop, you guys are hauling them in by the truck loads and this particular one just came back from Syria. You guys have all the dots right in front of you and yet refuse to connect them and then things like this happen.

    Nope, because we defeated the IRA. Just not all Irish terrorism and in any event terrorism reared its head elsewhere.

    I vote for the best available candidate. The Saudis are in a unique situation. The royal family is for all practical purposes, secular. They cater just enough to religios factions to keep power. The Saudis did make good to us and paid us a very high price post 911.

    Every terrorist should be treated as an enemy combatant and the war time rules of engagement apply.

    And overturn every anti gun law in the country. And when millions upon millions of armed citizens are present everywhere the incidents will slow and eventually stop.

    Um...no. We defeated the IRA by fighting them to a stalemate...but then we had to <gasp> [warning: hand-wringing, hankie-squeezing, EU-neutered lily-livered liberal moment] TALK to them and invite them into government.

    So it was a combo of butt-kicking conservative military action and wimpy pinko liberal negotiation that brought peace to 'Norn Iron'.

    (Please note: none of the above implies that we should have any kind of 'dialogue with Daesh other than a military one.)

    So, those of you advocating military action against the 'host nation ', what now? This guy's family came from Libya, so how about we invade Libya - again. Because that worked out so well last time...
