Dana Perino tramples on Kathy Griffin’s phony apology for decapitated Trump photo

Conservative commentator Dana Perino angrily denounced Kathy Griffin’s apology after the furor over her photo showing President Donald Trump’s decapitated head. She explained Tuesday why she thought the apology was phony on Fox News’ “The Five.”

“It felt contrived,” she interjected after Greg Gutfeld showed the video of Griffin apologizing.

“You think so?” Gutfeld asked.

“Yeah!” Perino responded. “In the monologue, you showed the video behind scenes where she’s talking to the photographer. She’s saying, ‘Call your dad, tell him that we’re not gonna survive this.’ So the whole thing is manufactured.”

“Free speech does not mean that it’s free of consequences,” Perino continued. “And she said, ‘I’m gonna stand by my art.’ Well she’s not, she’s a total wimp! What she actually wanted was to get this picture on there, to have the shock value, to create the firestorm and then be able to do the apology so that she could get a ton of attention.

Rev. Mitchell: that's what alot of people seem to forget. all freedoms, if used illegally
or immorally, does have consequences, some consequences are direct, others are
unintended consequences. The Book of Proverbs has alot to say about that.

Hmm, suppose you walk into an IRS office and tell them how sorry you were for cheating on your taxes and it will never happen again.

What will happen?

I doubt if Kathy will have charges brought against her.

Wonder what would happen if someone on Fox News had done this disgusting act with the effigy head of a liberal progressive past president - what would have happened in retribution against the perpetrator?

Add this to the chant "What do we want? dead ***s. When do we want them? Now!

"Fry 'em like bacon!".

Get the picture of the liberal progressive movement yet?

Griffin has a photo op with Tyler Shields <--- Her idea
Griffin's photos become posted on the internet by Tyler Shields
Griffin's photos are not accepted by the public as funny or appropriate
Griffin apologizes for her photos

I agree with Perino's assessment.
Griffin's "apology" came AFTER she was not accepted by the public as funny or appropriate.

Was Griffin SORRY for taking the photos....no
Was Griffin SORRY for the photos being posted online.....no

Was Griffin SORRY her photos were not received by the public with a positive and agreeing sentiment with Griffin....yes

IMO ~ Griffin should be under investigation for treason.

Your thread, therefor the photo Removed.

Personally I like the truth and evidence revealed.
Well known, not all people like the truth or evidence revealed.

This washed up lady doesn't bother me. And I don't believe Baron Trump wanted his mommy.

Freedom of speech covers hatred. It's as simple as that.

No, she is not a bother, because we don't allow her to be. However she is a horrible model to be heard by teens, young people who may think they are about to enjoy some comedy. Nothing funny about her. Truly pitiful!

Griffin wanted to be famous, and didn't care if it was famous for being liked or not liked. She has succeeded; by trashing others, regardless of who they are, or what she says about them is true or not. She has succeeded in being banned from particular TV shows for her outrageous behavior. She has received awards for her outrageous performances.

As if trashing other people was not shocking enough, she has trashed Jesus / God also.

She received: Creative Arts Emmy Awards and her acceptance speech gave the following statement....

"Now, a lot of people come up here and thank
Jesus for this award. I want you to know that no one had less to do with this award than Jesus. He didn't help me a bit. If it was up to him, Cesar Millan would be up here with that damn dog. So all I can say is suck it, Jesus, this award is my God now!"
She holds nothing back from what she thinks and believes.....Good for us to know our enemies standing!

Take heart, fellow Republicans! Every time Trump does or says something inappropriate, we can count on our friends on the left to do something more outrageous. 2018 is just around the corner, and people like Griffin are all but guaranteeing Republican gains in both houses. And 2020? Four more years of Trump, thanks in part to the left engaging in off-putting shenanigans.

The beauty of it all is that the First Amendment guarantees that they kind act like jerks and the government won't stop them. Every display like the one at issue here just recruits people to the GOP.

Yep. She's awful. Just plain awful. She has been for years. She'll pop up and remind us just how awful she is from time to time.

(1) I would be quite happy to never see or hear Kathy Griffin ever again, and I could have said that more than 10 years ago. I have no idea why anyone considers her relevant or worth listening to.
(2) I think what she did was offensive, immoral, and damaging to the state of political discourse in the United States.
(3) What she did was simply an extension of what people have been doing for years by burning President Obama in effigy or Ted Nugent using violent metaphors, calling for the deaths of Obama and Hillary Clinton.
(4) Those who burned Obama in effigy and Ted Nugent are no better than Kathy Griffin and should also be condemned in the current outrage over Griffin's actions.
(5) Not that many people who complain about Griffin now complained about previous political stunts or condemned Ted Nugent's comments. In fact, Ted Nugent was invited to the White House by our current President, so President Trump either has no issues with this kind of thing when it is against other people or Mr. Trump is simply clueless about what goes on in our political discourse.
(6) It's time for all of this to stop and for the public to condemn ALL violent speech and actions directed at political figures.

In America individuals have the RIGHT to express via SPEECH whatever they want.
Just as you are now doing.

You are dictating what others should be speaking.
You are calling for a condemnation of speech and actions toward political figures.....right after you take a stab at President Trump.

(1) No, I am calling for condemnation of all VIOLENT speech and actions directed at political figures.
(2) I am not talking about taking away rights, but for the free condemnation of violent speech and actions by those who care about the future of the nation.
(3) I pointed out President Trump's action in inviting Ted Nugent to the White House and pointed out that Trump either is unbothered by Nugent's words and character or that he is ignorant of it. There is NOTHING violent about my comments.

Personally, I find nothing offensive about a private citizen calling for Obama or Hillary being tried for treason;
or identifying on what offense;
or their preferred method of punishment;
or taking note of the blindness of some Americans.

Nugent's called for Obama and Hillary to be TRIED.
And expressed his preferred method of punishment, which you should know is based on; should they be found guilty.
Nugent did not call for a punishment, without due process of law.....AS some are falsely saying.

Why is Nugent's call for Obama and Hillary to be TRIED offensive to you?

You ignore the total of his rants to try to mischaracterize my position.

NOTE: Foul language permeates everything that Ted Nugent communicates.

Hillary Death Fantasy

Obama "sucking" on the end of a machine gun
NOTE: I realize that some will claim that a gun in Obama's mouth does not indicate that Nugent will pull the trigger, but both the sexual metaphor and the implied violence is clear.

Nugent has also been investigated by the Secret Service for other comments, but apparently was thought not to be a serious threat. For that matter, Kathy Griffin is likely to be only a serious threat (like Nugent) to good taste, morality, and public decency.

A moral person - especially a Christian - should oppose what Nugent has said in these clips.

That is my point.

See folks this is what those on the extreme left do. "yea we did that but so did you!"

Good grief, by the way the same could be said about Bush. Seriously this just gets pathetic.
