Southern Poverty Law Center tracks #Christmas, #MerryChristmas as hate speech.

What a misleading characterization.

You may disagree with whom SPLC classes as hate groups, but this daily chart merely records the top trending hashtags of their Twitter accounts.

If you click back a few days to Dec. 21, you'll see #wintersolstice in the top ten hashtags of the selected Twitter accounts, not because Winter Solstice is "hate speech", but because people were hashtagging it due to it happening on that day.

Likewise, you'd expect to see a lot of Christmas, Merry Christmas, Jesus hashtags around the Christmas season.

It's good to see non-political, non-racial stuff pop up in their tweets! Shows their obsession is not total.

Apparently, the SPLC considers one group I belong to an "anti-government hate group" but they don't explain who it is we're supposed to be "hating" or how we're anti-government, when we call for a return to the Constitution, which is the basis of our government.

Are you sure about this? According to a warning they provide, they are monitoring what they consider to be the far-right population. It sounds like they are characterizing all of this population as spewing hate speech, and no one else. And if you think they don't consider all of what they monitor to be hate speech, you might want to reconsider. Some are quite clever at twisting whatever is said to mean something else. This observation is not limited to the SPLC, but they may be particularly good at it, and quite malicious, that is, full of hate.

Hi, Jerome,

Yes, I agree with you that they are tracking all of the hashtags, just not of their own Twitter accounts but rather those of whom they hate. Otherwise, you might not see many of those hashtags come up much, if at all, that is, they themselves may not use them.

I didn't mean to show any disrespect for Christmas or our faith. I just wanted to show what's being put over on Christians. Of course, anybody can post almost anything on Twitter.

Oh, I was just commenting on his "artistic" use of sigmas and etas.

I voted Johnson. I had bought the lie Hillary would win. I was stunned. But I am all the way behind him now.

I went to bed on election night bracing myself for the news that the "Wicked Witch Of The West Wing" would be our new president. I was pretty annoyed, but I figured we survived eight years of Obama, we might survive 4-8 years of Hillary.

Almost had a stroke when I woke up the next morning and learned Trump had won.

I didn't vote for Trump and am still a little skeptical but, so far, everything he's done has been very good.

Like I said in another thread, I love what he's done, policy-wise. I just wish he'd shut up.

But seeing the complete and total meltdown the Left is having, I may have to vote for him next time just to see how nutty they can get.
