John 7:37 In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.

Thirst is something that originates within each man. Jesus didn't say, "All those in whom I have placed a thirst, let him come to Me and drink."

"...for what is the use of food to a hungry man if he cannot get at it? Of what avail is the river of the water of life if one cannot drink?" All of Grace: An Earnest Word with Those Who Are Seeking Salvation by the Lord Jesus Christ - Charles Spurgeon

John 6:35 And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.

Revelation 22:17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely

Calvinists will say that those who thirst are already regenerated.

I prefer 'alive', or, 'quickened'; but yes, thirst and hunger denotes life!

Blessed are they that hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

    From the Calvinist's Dictionary

    All: The elect
Draw all Men: Regenerate the Elect
    Everyone: The elect
    Whosoever: The elect
    World: The elect

The dead neither hunger nor thirst. Hunger and thirst are proof of life.

The "voice" of the Lord is powerful enough for even the dead to hear.

John 5:25 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live.

    (Asking for a friend.)

    Lazarus did.

Begs the question - was it a metaphor as well as reality?

Here we go again with this analogy. "Dead people don't hunger or thirst", "Dead people don't hear" etc. etc.

Let's look at the context...and See what "Dead people do or don't do"....

    Ephesians 2:1-3

So we were dead in trespasses and sins: (What does that mean?)

Vs. 2--Dead people are lead by the world and the devil:
in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience,

Vs. 3--Dead people walk according to the lusts of their flesh:
among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others.

Nope, i don't see Paul saying that spiritually dead people can't hear or call out to the LORD. The Lord's Voice and Word are powerful enough for even DEAD people to HEAR and respond to :)

Was Lazarus spiritually dead as well as physically dead? :)

Proponents of Calvin's Soteriology usually use Lazarus as an example of Regeneration before faith :)

So, i believe they would answer you, "Yes".

    But I Digress.

If a Dead man Physically can Hear The Lord Jesus' voice, Do you think Dead men Spiritually can hear God's voice? "Adam, where are you?"

Really? Go up to a dead man in a casket and tell him he is ugly. See how he responds. Offer to take him out to lunch. See how he responds. Offer him something to drink. See how he responds.

Saying "all I see here is circular reasoning" seems to indicate your desperation.

    Col 2:13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;

So Luke 10 and 11 and John 10 are wrong saying that he was a much beloved friend of Jesus prior to his sickness and death?

Oh i would agree with Scripture. I believe Christ at His Word and the Point of the passage there. Christ is showing the Power of the Resurrection, Not Regeneration. But Proponents of Calvinism would disagree with us :)

Let's poll your Fellow TULIP proponents. Let's see if they believe the Passage of Lazarus' Resurrection Symbolizes Regeneration.
