I have no idea why James White would lend his credibility to this nut job. Anderson disgraces the name of Christ. This isn't Christianity. This is Phariseeism to the umpteenth degree. Self-righteousness is the cause of his cancer, a cancer that only the gospel can cure.

I do not regard Anderson in any manner as a legitimate Christian leader.

That being said, the modern slide into oblivion has occurred because the church forgot it is, in fact, exclusive, and that the unifying factor for every Christian is doctrinal truth.

That doesn't mean fakes would not slip in, it just meant they had to really fake adhering to the truth. Those types would get revealed eventually, though, as they would ultimately attempt to draw others away from unity in the truth.

So... His attempt to guard the gathering has some Biblical merit, though entrusting yourself to anyone over the internet as though they were genuine brethren is a dangerous game at best.

LOL, I don't think your are upset with Pastor Anderson's position on the sodomites. Your problem is with God's position.
You might want to read what God says about sodomites and how we are commanded to treat them.

Just what is the command that indicates the treatment?

Oh, perhaps you will assume that some Old Testament demand of the law is still viable? Really, when did you last slay doves, lambs, goats, bulls, heifers, sheep, ...?

Or, when did you attend to setting up a booth to live outside and eat only bitter herbs?

Or, when did you stone to death that rebellious child?

What was the command Jesus used in the treatment believers are to give even their enemies and those that despise them?

Bet not many in "pastor Anderson's" church even know how to follow the commandments of Christ.

I have read the Bible from cover to cover many times. I'm not at all confused about the seriousness of homosexuality. Steven Anderson is in my opinion possibly a closeted man. I don't think he ever preaches on anything but homosexuals. You've heard the expression "Methinks thou doest protest too much". Further Anderson hasn't read his Bible. Did you know what revilers are? Look up the word in the bi
ble. You can find it in 1 Corinthians 6:9-11. I hate to break it to you, but homosexuality is not the unforgiveable sin.

    James 1:26English Standard Version (ESV)

26 If anyone thinks he is religious and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his heart, this person's religion is worthless.

Wow, two booming churches in the same town!
Is it possible you and your pastor, and Yabruf and Pastor Anderson, have ever targeted the same clinic, at the same time? Maybe you'll get to meet each other some day, if you haven't already:

Hmm, interesting. I guess I have been away from the Baptist church for far too long. This is a first that someone claiming to be a Baptist, has asked me those silly questions before. That is something I only ever hear from unbelievers and self proclaimed atheist. Unless you are new to the faith? Were you recently saved?

Anyway, each one of your questions warrants a thread of their own so I will briefly address each one of them, in context below:

“Oh, perhaps you will assume that some Old Testament demand of the law is still viable? Really, when did you last slay doves, lambs, goats, bulls, heifers, sheep, ...?”

    · As Christians, God no longer requires animal sacrifices, which foreshadowed the sacrifice of Christ. The nation of Israel was commanded to complete multiple sacrifices, like the Day of Atonement, for the temporary covering of sins.
    · Animal sacrifices have ended because Jesus Christ was the final and perfect sacrifice.
    · Hebrews 7:27 teaches us that Jesus offered himself up for our sins.

“Or, when did you attend to setting up a booth to live outside and eat only bitter herbs?”

    · In Leviticus 23:42 the Israelites were commanded to dwell in booths for seven days. I have read that this is part of the “Feast of Booths”, which is also pictured in Nehemiah 8:13-18.
    · In Exodus 12:8 the Israelites were commanded to eat bitter herbs with yeast as part of the Passover.
    · As Christians we are no longer bound to observe the Passover feast the way the Old Testament Israelites were. Although, we can still observe the Passover, because Colossians 2:16-17 permits us to, without judgment.

“Or, when did you stone to death that rebellious child?”

    · Both Leviticus 20:9 and Deuteronomy 21:18-21 expound on what God’s law is speaking of here. We see that a gluttonous drunkard of a man that curses and rebels against his parents is to be brought before the elders for judgment. If the elders deem that the death penalty is warranted then they, meaning elders, are to carry it out.
    · Note that this only occurs after the parents have chastened him.
    · Also note that this is not a child as your question suggests.

“What was the command Jesus used in the treatment believers are to give even their enemies and those that despise them?”

    · I will assume you’re referring to Luke 6:27-36. Here Jesus commands us to love your enemies and do good to those which hate you. He then goes into detail on what that love would look like.
    · Now the mistake you are making is that you are assuming that sodomites are my enemies. They are not my enemy but the enemy of God.
    · Dealing particularly with sexual depravity and the sodomite, the Bible is quite clear. God requires the death penalty. This is reiterated in both the old and new testament.

“Bet not many in "Pastor Anderson's" church even know how to follow the commandments of Christ.”

    · I find it quite funny that I have to teach you some of the fundamentals of the Christian faith while you criticize fellow believers you have never met.
    · Perhaps you should read Matthew 7:3-5 before you make an unfounded assumption about Pastor Anderson’s congregation.

In summary, as Christians we are not Israelites living in a theocracy, in the nation of Israel. Old Testament practices that God imposed on the Israelites and later the Jews do not apply to us today. In fact they would not apply to us back then if we were not Israelites.

There are specific dietary laws, traditions and customs that were only ever meant for the nation of Israel and no one else. Even some of those laws were done away with in the New Testament like food restrictions and the observance of the Sabbath.

Now to be very clear, God’s moral law has never changed. His view on adultery, fornication, sodomy, theft, Idolatry, bearing false witness, etc, are the same today as they were 4000 years ago.

Although these are fundamentals to the Christian faith, if you are coming from a fun center back ground, I realize that the negative bits of the Bible were never preached.

It’s just odd hearing it from a Baptist, which I have always considered the most well read of the denominations.

“Steven Anderson is in my opinion possibly a closeted man. I don't think he ever preaches on anything but homosexuals.”

That’s just silly and only an ignorant person with an agenda would say such a thing without proof to back it up. Just because you only ever hear one of his sermons, because he is in the news for preaching the whole Bible, doesn’t mean he is a sodomite.

Did it ever occur to you that the depraved sin of homosexuality in America and around the world is exploding and probably should be addressed? And that a man of God is the person that should be doing it?

So men like Pastor Jack Hyles, Dan Cathy (Chick-fil-A CEO), Pastor Lester Roloff, Franklin Graham, and just about every Christian pastor prior to the 60’s were all, in your opinion, homosexuals because they take a Biblical stand against homosexuality? Is that really what you think?

A Christian pastor, with a backbone, takes a stand against filthy reprobates and all you can do is criticize him? Well not really him, since we both know you are really critiquing the Bible, and using Pastor Anderson as your straw man.

“Further Anderson hasn't read his Bible.”

    • Based on what? He has read his Bible scores of times and often quotes scripture verbatim in the middle of his sermons.
    • Do you know what it means to not bear false witness? You can find it in Exodus 20:16, among the Ten Commandments.

“Did you know what revilers are? Look up the word in the bible”.

    • Yeah it means to speak of abusively. 1st Cor 6:9-11 is talking about the unsaved speaking abusively.
    • What does this have to do with someone preaching the word of God? Just because you don’t like portions of the Bible doesn’t mean that you can accuse them of being an unbeliever. On the contrary I would question why the word of God bothers you so much that you would attack a fellow believer with unfounded and abusive accusations. Hmm sounds a lot like a reviler……

“I hate to break it to you, but homosexuality is not the unforgiveable sin.”

    • This is true, but it is an attribute of a reprobate. So why even try to use that as an argument to justify not preaching the whole word of God?
    • I am happy to inform you that homosexuality displeases God so much, that he mandated that it be worthy of death. Leviticus 20:13

    James 1:26English Standard Version (ESV)”

    • Really you’re going to quote a corrupt Bible version to me, in an argument on a Baptist forum? Really???
    • KJV James 1:26 If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain.
    • This doesn’t apply to Pastor Anderson since he doesn’t seem to be religious, he is religious. This scripture is speaking directly to the smooth talking hypocrite, that only deceives himself, his religion is in vain.
    • Again I would refer you back to Exodus 20:16 and be careful that you do not level false accusations, especially at a brother in Christ.

You claim to have read the Bible, cover to cover many times, yet you quote it with little or no discernment. You may want to start off by reading the correct Bible version and not quoting the ESV. You do realize that the ESV is based on corrupt text translated by the heretics Westcott and Hort, right?

Hmm watched some of the video and this guy sounds pretty good! I did hear repent of your sins, which is a little disconcerting because he is talking to an unbeliever. But I will have to watch the whole video later on.

There is a difference between light and darkness. Pastor Jeff is talking about saving unborn babies from being murdered. Anderson is anti-Semitic, a holocaust denier, and a reviler.

Ignorant implies that I am lacking in information. Nothing could be further from the truth. I have watched at least 100 of his videos. In every permutation of Anderson, every sermon has been about homosexuality. Even as early as his sermon about pis*ing on the wall.

You don't have to have a degree in psychology to see the obsession of this topic.

1 Peter 3:15English Standard Version (ESV)

15 but in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect,
Did it ever occur to you that the depraved sin of homosexuality in America and around the world is exploding and probably should be addressed? And that a man of God is the person that should be doing it?

Jack Hyles was an adulterer and a poor shepherd to his flock. Franklin Graham was not preaching in 1960. He was only 7-8 years old. Watch yourself, I NEVER said that I approve of homosexuality. I have never seen these pastors become hateful.

Jesus says to love our enemies.

I have NEVER taken issue with the Bible. Please show where I said the Bible wasn't correct.

Please show where I bore false witness.

Now you are bearing false witness. Show some proof of these accusations.

Yes, it does. but believers know that using Leviticus as a prooftext is a smoke screen. Did you stone your child, or did you wear clothing that is mixed fabric? This argument is used by homosexuals to show how unkind believers are.

    Where?

You did not present Scriptures for the evidence of this statement to be valid.

What is it that Galatians states that believers are to do to "fulfill the law of Christ?"

What nursery? Anderson's East German wife Zsuzsanna warns:

ARE THEY ALL YOURS?!??: Church Nurseries

"The subject of whether or not church nurseries are scriptural and whether or not I think they should exist is one of my favorite hobby horses....My husband devoted a large part of his most recent Sunday night sermon...to preach on this very subject"

"Keeping children out of the service and leaving them in a nursery is not only detrimental to their spiritual growth, but also their physical health. Nurseries are like leper colonies....They can get sick from a nursery worker...who knew she was sick but didn't want to miss out on holding the babies in the nursery."

"Churches draw freaks....How can anyone know that the sweet nursery worker that they just handed their child off to is not a predator? I get so tired of hearing about background checks. They are 100% worthless....Every child molester had a clean record at one time - do you want your child to be the first victim?"

Interesting. I'm sure there may be some cases in which a nursery attendant may have done something heinous, but I'm also pretty sure that those cases are far, far outnumbered by the number of male pastors and staff who have sullied the name of Christ by their predations. By Anderson's logic, churches shouldn't have male pastors ...

There is a reasonable debate to be had about nurseries. The local Orthodox Presbyterian Church has a "crying room" where families can take babies; otherwise, everyone is expected to be in the main service. But it's not because nursery workers are predators.

It's nice to know that Pastor Anderson apparently has succeeded in making his wife a misogynist as well.

I have heard of churches that dont have Sunday School for age 5 and above
But no nursery.- Well, the Bible does not teach anything about having a nursery,
    So Anderson must be right.

Okay, pastors - when are you going to get rid of your nurseries ? But be sure you have a good voice or good
PA system when all those babies start crying.

On a serious note - I would like to visit this church and see all this first hand.

and if you are interested in Andersons schedule - click here

We won't have to, since we've never had one to get rid of.
You are welcome to visit us instead, although you might not get to hear a sermon on 1 Kings 16:11.
