Would say that persons should stand when Anthem is played though, as many American of various Ethnic backgrounds died for this land, and the President DID indeed condemn the white supremacists, but also condemned the other agitators down there too!

I am a Special Operations Senior Non-Commissioned Officer, Airborne and Language qualified. I have led troops in combat, accomplished my mission and brought all of them home.

But I know what the First Amendment to the Constitution means. I have sworn to support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all threats, foreign and domestic, and I have made that oath more than once, each time asking God to help me fulfill that oath.

Is it reasonable, under any circumstance, for the President of the United States to infringe upon the rights guaranteed by the document that undergirds his office?

As to you second point: it wasn't the other agitators in Charlottesville that took a life.

As a currently serving--but about to retire--soldier, it would be improper for me to comment any further on the Commander in Chief, but for the record, I am a Libertarian who voted against Barack Obama--TWICE, and believe that President Obama was NOT the worst POTUS ever. But he's on the list.
