You are 100% wrong. What do you know about the law? And knock off that stuff that your opinion is the Christian opinion.
Actually, I was talking about ethics, not law.

If I didn’t reveal conflicts of interest in my business, I would violate basic standards of ethics and place myself and my firm in jeopardy for successful civil lawsuits and possible criminal conviction.

You need to study up.

A Christian should have AT LEAST standards as high as people who don’t know God. Don’t you know that judgment begins with the house of God?

Sessions should be fired. You are speaking from a Democrat viewpoint.

Lynch met in secret with Bill Clinton--why doesn't Mueller or Sessions do something about that. Hillary is a crook and belongs in prison and her husband is a high-ranking rapist like JFK.

An ethical stand should not depend upon what party you prefer. There is no “Democratic” or “Republican” viewpoint to a conflict of interest.

Lynch met in secret with Bill Clinton
I have heard that. It might me true.

why doesn't Mueller or Sessions do something about that.
Mueller doesn’t do anything about it because he has not be assigned to do so. Sessions has claimed there is not enough factual basis to the charges (I think he was talking about the so-called Uranium One scandal), to appoint a Special Counsel. But you should ask Sessions.

Hillary is a crook...
Yes, I think she is corrupt.

...and belongs in prison...
I’m not sure she belongs in prison. There are many people who want to put her there, but apparently there is not enough real evidence (not just allegations) to convict her on anything.

...and her husband is a high-ranking rapist like JFK.
I wish someone would prosecute him. The Republicans were to cowardly to remove him from office after his impeachment because they did not want Al Gore to be an incumbent President. They played a political game instead of the pursuit of justice. And that’s what happening today with the roles reversed. We have Republicans covering for a Republican President and trying to shout down legitimate inquiries.

If you truly care about justice, you should let the Mueller investigation run its course.

Sorry but there is a GOP viewpoint that Sessions should be fired and that Mueller is shady. Perhaps if you listened to GOP leaders, you would hear what they are saying. Even uber liberal Dershowitz says that Mueller has a dubious record. Maybe Bill Nye the Science Guy is right that people come from Mars since Mueller does seem like a space alien.

Yes, I've heard those points come from many "conservative" media commentators and some Republicans in Congress, but there are also a few Republicans in Congress and even more Republican voters who do not agree. For years I've been told that one of the evils of the Democratic Party is that they tell people what to think and attack anyone in their Party who does not tow the official line; that they walk in lockstep, violating the freedom of conscience of the individual members. Now I have discovered that Republicans like to play that game too.

Perhaps if you listened to GOP leaders, you would hear what they are saying.
Believe me, I hear them. But I retain the right and God-given responsibility to think for myself according to the example of Christ and dictates of scripture. I have never ceded my God-given responsibility to be a Christian witness in favor of being a shill for an earthly kingdom. To betray the Kingdom of God for the kingdom of an American political party is grave sin. Long held Republican ideas have been overtaken by Trumpism, and I cannot go along for the ride. Trumpism is quite similar to the corrupt Dixiecrat political machine of Southeast Texas that I grew up with and rejected. It is no surprise that white people of that region are some of the most passionate advocates and enablers of Trump I have ever encountered. It ties in neatly with the populist and often racist values they have held all of their lives.

Even uber liberal Dershowitz says that Mueller has a dubious record.
I'm getting really tired of people trotting out Dershowitz as some sort of authoritative moral voice for who is good and evil. He said (and still says) O.J. Simpson was framed up by the LAPD. Do you believe that O.J. was innocent? If not, then you should think about why Dershowitz might say the things he does for his Fox News commentary gig.

Again, I like to think for myself instead of letting the talking heads on the television or internet sites tell me what to think. I don't put much faith in Dershowitz since he has been absolutely wrong about some legal matters I actually know a lot about. And he was wrong in a way that would appear to viewers of Fox News.

Maybe Bill Nye the Science Guy is right that people come from Mars since Mueller does seem like a space alien.
Bill Nye's science persona is a creation for the media. He pretends to be extremely knowledgable in science, although he is trained as an engineer. And as an engineer and a scientific enthusist, he lets his massive prejudices and unexamined assumptions taint nearly everything he does, particularly in areas of evolution.

Mueller does not seem like a space alien to me. He seems like many of the FBI personnel I have met and interviewed with over the years. Careful, analytical, and a straight arrow.

You seem to like to bash people like Rudy because of your Democrat/#NeverTrump bias and then say that everyone has a Christian duty to agree with your politics. You have no idea that the GOP is behind Trump and Rudy.

(1) Actually, I haven't been bashing Giuliani. I asserted that he would have done the right thing if he were in Sessions' place. I have now been informed otherwise. I assume the best of people until I get evidence otherwise.
(2) I have never had a "Democrat" bias. I have never been a Democrat, and have only voted for a very few Democrats my entire life, so this "Democrat bias" garbage is coming from your imagination.
(3) My "NeverTrump" viewpoint is based on everything that Trump has said and done for the last 27 years. I have never cared for the guy or even thought he was a competent businessman or a person of good character since I first heard of him in 1991. A family member was enamored with him, so I ended up watching many interviews with him from back then, including the Charlie Rose interview from 1992 where he explained his obsession with loyalty and how he loved to viciously "get even" with people he suspected of not being loyal. So it is hardly a bias. It is a viewpoint developed by listening to and watching him over a very long period. It is almost the exact same situation with the Clintons. I have watched them over the years and really dislike them because of the things they have said and done, not because I have a bias.

So everything you have claimed in that first sentence is the opposite of what is true.

...and then say that everyone has a Christian duty to agree with your politics.
I said no such thing. I said, "To betray the Kingdom of God for the kingdom of an American political party is grave sin." To make the platform and actions of Democrat or Republican Parties of higher importance than the obligations of the Kingdom of God to tell the truth and do justice for the poor and powerless is a grave sin. We have the responsibility to think for ourselves and not to betray our Christian witness in exchange for being a shill for the Democratic, Republican, or any other Party. That has nothing to do with the specifics of how I think our government should be run. So the assertion in this sentence is also false.

You have no idea that the GOP is behind Trump and Rudy.
Most white "evangelicals" (whatever that word means) are solidly behind Trump. The majority of Republicans currently support Republican rule. I am quite aware of that. But I am also quite aware that many person who are Republican can't stand Trump even though they publicly support him for the sake of the Party. Moreover, there are many people like me, a life-long Republican voter, who no longer can support the Party on any level because of its support of President Trump.

So you last assertion is also completely false. I am quite aware of what goes on among Republicans since the majority of my family and friends are Republicans and I live in the middle of a very "Red" region.

I believe that there are going to be extremely damaging revelations about the Trump campaign and President Trump himself in Mueller's report, and the scandal will likely topple the Trump presidency and possible cripple the GOP. I hate to see both, but I think it is quite likely to happen.

If it doesn't happen, I will be happy to admit I was wrong.

You need to come in out of the cold. The common people liked Trump in the primaries. Look at President Chester Arthur--he was a machine politician but he cleaned up the civil service. People do rise above themselves. Rudy is a liberal but on the law he is no nonsense--just ask the mafia.

I'm nice and warm here in the bright sunny day of a clear conscience, where I am not morally, ethically, and spiritually compromised by supporting a person I don't have any faith or confidence in.

The common people liked Trump in the primaries.
History has shown us that the majority of the "common men" can be misled. Many destructive movements had popular support.

Sure. But the President seems to like the swamp and he's just bringing in fresh alligators and rats. His revolving door of staff and political appointments, as well as all of the scandals among his appointments shows that things are no better than they were before, and possibly worse. And that's not even taking into account all of the President's personal conflicts of interest.

People do rise above themselves. Rudy is a liberal but on the law he is no nonsense--just ask the mafia.
I never took Giuliani to be a "liberal." Moreover, his role as a spokesperson and attorney for the President seems to be doing more harm than good. If I were the President's legal advisor, I would suggest that he not let Giuliani make media appearances. I'd also advise him to just plead the 5th Amendment when appearing before Mueller's investigation, because it seems the President cannot help himself when he speaks and says all kinds of contradictory things.

I said that Giuliani is a liberal on social issues.

The real criminals here are Hillary Clinton, aided and abetted by Barack Obama behind the scenes. Maybe you are better than the common people, but as Lincoln said, God must have loved the common people because He made so many of them. You should change your party because the GOP no longer has a place for #NeverTrump.

I would have to see real evidence for that, not just the allegations and conspiracy theories.

Better? No. Different? Yes. I've always been a little odd.

You should change your party because the GOP no longer has a place for #NeverTrump.
That is quite clear. I gave up on the Republican Party after they nominated Trump. I ended up casting a vote toward Hillary Clinton to try to stop Trump, and voted for Republican Congressmen/Congresswomen to hold her in check. Instead, I got Trump and a Congress unwilling to hold anyone accountable.

I am without a political party these days.

Yeah, you are forever #NeverTrump.
