    How can you not see the hand of God in it though, as the Church of rome had wandered far off the truth and was holding to a false Gospewl, so why would God not want to have the true Gospel reaffirmed once again?

    Either the Reformers “reformed” back to what Christianity had been from the beginning…in which case we should see some early Christian writings that support their doctrines…or they changed what Christianity had always been…in which case we should be able to see some proof of their authority to do this. Right?

    We do, its called in the Scriptures, those alone are inspired and authoratative to us! So if any Early Church father disagreed with the bible, we stick to the Bible!

    The fact is, we DON'T see any early writings supporting ANY of the "reformed" beliefs. Neither so we see any source of authority from which the Reformers could draw from to make the changes they made...which were indeed changes...because we see the earliest Christians believing the exact same things (Doctrinally) as Catholics did in the 16th century (and to preseant). And if your position is that the evil Catholics destroyed all the Baptistic (scriptural according to you) writings, then why did all the other heretical writings of the time survive?

    Wouldn't the better question be what was the intent of the Reformation and did the Reformation if it was by God, achieve what its intent was or should I say God's intent?... Brother Glen:)

    I’m sure you are aware that protestants, of every stripe, are equally convinced that they have Christ and the Holy Spirit on their side and guiding their actions. I believe all protestants are seeking Christ just as Catholics seek him. None that I know reject him.

    I believe the umbrella of Gods redeeming eternal love covers more than any of us can ever imagine and I don't believe anything less... Denominations don't determine who God's children are only God does that... Brother Glen:)

    Because the kingdom of God is in you not any brick and mortar organization. Do you feel God was correcting a mistake when he established the church in the 1st place... then it gets mediated through Luther, Calvin, King Henry, Knox, etc.

    None of us claim though to have the infallible understanding of the scriptures, nor to be the one true church with only salvation found in her!

    So the Holy Spirit will honor any Churcrh that teaches and proclaims a Gospel not from and of God? I think Paul expressed already the view of God on that!
