Gohmert Introduces The Armed Services Always Paid Act

On behalf of our nation’s military, I have filed again in this session of Congress a bill that will make certain that any time there is a government shutdown, the pay of our military men and women will continue without any stoppage. It continues to force Congress members on both sides of the aisle to consider the situation of our defenders.

Thanks for the link. That text includes the Coast Guard. However, my niece's husband is a Coastie and apparently he's not getting paid. Did Homeland Security get written out subsequent to the linked version?

Well, its just an act he sponsored, but it has not been passed (I think he has been trying since 2011), so I suppose that would explain it. I had heard the Coast Guard isn't getting paid, but have heard the other branches mentioned.

The DoD funding got passed. But, the USCG is under the Homeland Security budget which hasn't.
