Trail Life as an true Christian alternative will also keep Mormon churches from sponsoring troops.

The Boy Scouts of America hasn't existed in a good while. Who really cares if they go bankrupt?

    I certainly don't.

I assume you are referencing to scouts and scout masters who are h0mosexu@al. (HS)

But anyways, I have a Pastor Friend who church does sponsor a BSA troop. He has no problem if a scout (or prospective scout) clams to be a HA. By being part of this Baptist church Troop, he will receive guidance from good Christian leaders. Now, a HS scout master will not happen in Pastor Dans' church!

You should tell your church and BSA leaders about Trail Life USA... it’s just like scouts of old but faith based and without the homosexual sodomists running it and girls aren’t allowed.

Our Church revoked the Charter of the troop when the hom0sexu@ls were let in.

Yeah it’s been spiraling out of control with a lot of troops folding. We have been trying to utilize the left overs to help get our TL trio going

    1) its not my church
    2) Pastor Dan sees it as a way of evangelism to reach boys in the vicinity
    3) There are NO sodomites running the program - as the leaders must be -
active members of the church and properly vetted.
    4) They do not have girls in their troop
    5) Sure they could have AWANA or any Christian organization - but unsaved kids
especially Teens probably would not come

Those reasons are about the same as why Mormons say they needed to sponsor Boy Scout troops, though now they are dropping scout troops like flies.

And definitely Awana didn't do the job it originally was intended to do, which was to offer a scout-type environment and experience. (Does anyone remember back in the 70s when Awana was an Independent Baptist idea, and the kids, both boys and girls, were to wear uniforms that resembled the Boy and Girl Scout ones? Those days are long gone, and TrailLife is now trying to pick up the pieces and revive the original Awana idea).

Do girls have a corresponding and equal chance to have their own scouting program - with all the same amenities, camping, opportunities as the boys? Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts were definitely not serving with equal opportunity for the same fun and bettering activities.

I'm all for men and boys being only with men and boys. There's definitely a time and call for that.

I just don't like to see girls left out of outdoor programs and with limited opportunities. Girls enjoy these outdoor things, too.

Does your church offer outdoor activities to girls?

Yes we have American Heritage Girls for the girls.

As for it being the same, no. Girls and boys are different. So are the activities in TL and AHG. But both boys and girls all have the opportunity for similar, but different “scounting” activities. Boys do things like learn to use knives, axes, split wood, camping and hiking, science, sports, shooting and hunting etc. all the cool things that the neutered Boy Scouts stopped doing, we still do in Trail Life.

Not sure what the girls do as I’m not involved in AHG and my daughter is too young yet. But I know they do girly things and somebody outdoors stuff. Just different than the boys. Which it should be.

Girls can't play sports? Study science? Go camping and hiking? Learn to use a knife? You say they do "girly" things.

Never mind explaining. I understand your ideas quite clearly. I'll just google the two programs for myself.

Easy now. Let us not get all offended here because girls and boys are different.

I never said they can’t do anything. I’m sure they do sports and such, but I’m not involved in the girl side of things so I can’t comment. I surely hope they do girly stuff. Too many dang people trying to make boys sensitive Nancy’s and girls lumberjack Johnnys.

I raising my boy to be a man and my girl to be a woman. If that offends people, well that’s on them. I’m sure there is a therapist or some garbage “I’m offended” discussion group they can attend. But I personally could care less if my child raising offends anyone. That’s between me, my woman and God.

I think you are the one that needs to take it easy. I was just asking questions based on your posts.

I just don't know what "girly stuff" means. Painting their toenails? Changing diapers? Mopping?

I looked at the American Heritage Girls website and they are shown rafting down a river. It states that they go camping and hiking. One girl's testimony said that she learned survival skills, how to fix and maintain a car and how fix electrical problems in the home. It didn't say, but I'm sure they learn cooking and things like that, too.

Surely the boys learn cooking, too. Surely in the camping part, they learn to build a campfire and cook a meal.

I never said girls and boys were the same. I just don't believe in the extremist views of men and women where character traits nor gifts/talents/interests never overlap.

I’m the definition of the Eagles song take it easy.

Like I said I’m not up to date on what all the girls said do in AHG. Just the boys in TL

Sure my boy will learn to cook. We will blow the heart of of a deer with a rifle, gut it, cut the fillets out and fry them rascals. Or smoked the loins wrapped in bacon. But the rest of the cooking of cupcakes and such well leave to the wife and woman folk.

Man has a place and time same as a woman. Sure I like to cook, and yes my wife likes to do ourdoor stuff. But when it’s time to do our jobs she’ll be in the kitchen rattling them pans and I’ll be off at work making the money.

Exactly how it’s supposed to be.
