Assumes this forum would cover news, especially news related to Baptist churches, institutions, and personalities. Realizes Jerry Falwell Jr. is a well-known Baptist. Wondering how this is gossip?

    Falwell Jr. is on the board of directors of the Elim Home for Alcoholic Men.
    Elim Home was founded by Jerry Falwell Sr. way back in in the 1950s. It was one of the first auxiliary ministries of Thomas Road Baptist Church.

    Agree, we can forgive, but that does not mean trust or allow them to continue down the same path without any accountability repercussions.

    Why? Church discipline is actually where he belongs at the moment. I dont have anything to forgive or not forgive him of.

    He and his wife must seek the grace and forgiveness of the Lord jesus, but still would be a child of God, correct?

    Agreed, as there must be accountability, but still must view this as a restoration project for God and His people, not ruination!

    Yes, he is still a child of the Lord. At the moment - he should be in shame to the Lord - but lets pray that he
    and his wife truly repent and seek to re-establish a close relationship with the Lord.

    Lets also be praying for his brother Jonathan - as this is a time of testing for him.
