    "All sources cautioned that until it is announced by the President, there is always the possibility that Trump makes a last-minute change but the expectation is Barrett is the choice. He is scheduled to make the announcement on Saturday afternoon.

    Barrett has been the leading choice throughout the week, since Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg died. She is the only potential nominee known to have met with the President in person, according to two of the sources."

    I doubt it will be tough for him at all. I expect that he will continue to say that the 2016 model should be followed and the nomination be put off until at least after the election or until January 21, 2021. I doubt he will have much to say about Amy personally.

    Liberals are not happy on Twitter about the potential nomination of ACB to the SCOTUS. Too bad. It is well past time to have the federal government pushed back to within its Constitutional limits as much as possible.

    I never look forward to the demonization known as Borking, and this case may give us a new term for it. Cruz is right that it's the Dems who do this, not the Reps.

    I know you think both are bad, and it's true that both are far from perfect, but the Dems are in a political class all their own, so low on the behavior scale that they rival demons, some might even say summon demons.

    I don't see how that can be accomplished to any real degree without a massive reduction in our bureaucracy, and I see no chance of that happening.

    He really isn’t a Catholic. He is a scummy politician. Catholic bishops have denied him the sacraments because of his political stance on abortion... so don’t tell me he is a Catholic. He just plays one on TV.

    We are pretty sure what we are getting and it is what we want. It is an advantage of picking ACB over Barbara Lagoa. ACB appears to be more reliable constitutionally, whereas Lagoa would be more of a wildcard judicially, especially as ACB had lots of opposition from liberals when confirmed to the court of appeals while Lagoa sailed through much more easily.

    One reason, perhaps, that we are seeing all these claims it is Amy, it is an attempt to derail the nomination, enticing Mr. Trump to go a different direction to show the media they were wrong. Hope not. :)
