Hello everyone, my name is Sean McMahon. I am pastor of the Community Baptist Church of Gay Head in Aquinnah, North America's longest-standing Native American-founded church. We are a small church in a small town of 350 on the western "up island" part of Martha's Vineyard. I am also a professional musician!

I am also growing a YouTube channel of my sermons, and look forward to meeting and learning from folks who are adept at growing online media ministries!

My ministry channel is here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCW504bQOiUjwJHACY9zBT7g

My music channel is here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCcctIc08KUhYbkWjRZxxxiA

    Thanks all!

    Great for upholding the tradition.

Here are some old threads from this board which may or may not be of interest.

It's an interesting side note (To me anyway) that the Native Americans were one of the first people-groups in which the settlers sought to reach with the Gospel. Of course, we also hear, especially around the Thanksgiving holiday, how a Native American named Squanto taught the newly-arrived Pilgrims how to plant (& fertilize) corn---a crop that is native to America. Even back as far as the 1620s God's people reached out to these folks. Un fortunately some Native Americans were looked upon as "Unreachable Pagans" who should be wiped out, and, in the process, be taken advantage of. Even today, there are very few Biblical Christian ministries dedicated to reaching Native Americans. I remember some of the old Western TV shows of the 1950s in which some of them did portray the Native Americans in somewhat of a positive way. Sadly, back then, even shows that weren't inheritly "Christian" DID seem to have a much better overall plot than do most shows we see today
