Clearly, those arrests fully vindicate the police mobbing the church during Easter services.

Seriously, if this makes them look good in the eyes of Canadians, then Canada is a write-off, and this line is not mere rhetoric:

"His crime was the same — holding church services in a fascist country.
    "

It looks like this pastor got the attention he wanted.

I wonder what Polish people who actually lived in the time of the Gestapo would think about his comments.

Churches all around the world who respect the laws of the land and love their neighbours have had no trouble continuing to worship with gathering and mask restrictions as outlined by their local health districts. Same with protest. It is possible to legally protest while respecting the laws of the land.

Calgary police make arrest in relation to AHS injunction

The cops sent in an armed militia on Easter week into the church. I wonder if they could have softened their approach to a church gathering instead of pissing them off? Maybe a private conversation with law enforcement and the church elders would have changed the whole outcome. BTW, what the cops did by barging into the church and then later arresting him and dragging him off was shameful.

The pastor looks like either his parents or grandparents lived through the Nazi occupation of Poland. Then, he of an age to have lived through the days of the KGB and its Polish lackeys.

Yes I watched the easter video.

He was totally inappropriate to the health officials doing their job of investigating a health violation in the middle of a pandemic. To investigate they need to see how many people are there during a service.

This was not the first time he was notified about his public health violation. It was not an accidental mistake. He had already been fined multiple times for violating the health regulations leading up to the easter confrontation. He was blantantly rebelling against the authorities in opposition to Romans 13.

I would think comparing what he experienced to their experiences would be insulting to what they went through.

Hyperbolic yes, insulting no. The pastor just went to "preaching". He is after all I believe a Pentecostal.

If you were tortured for being american, and then your son was given a parking ticket and tried to make it sound like the same thing, would that not be insulting?

The NAZIS attempted to starve the Polish people to death. Why those caught grinding wheat for bread were shot. The Stazi police were no better. Farming your property, especially with modern equipment was an executable offense. My GGrandfather kept 2 teams of plow horses on his Pennsylvania farm because his fear of the Communists was always there. Both Nazi & Soviets sucked.

If you broke with the RCC, you probably went to Polish National’s but then would gravitate to charismatic movements cause PN’s filtered back to the Catholics.

Such thinking is absolutely wrong, dead wrong. These totalitarians begin with just such tactics, then worsen. He is not claiming to be experiencing their worst, only their tactics.

"…people just trying to do their job…."

"Ve vere just doing our duty." Yeah, sure. Just like "good" Nazis.

Obviously, Nazis and Communists are not the same ideologically. But both are historically extremely totalitarian. He is using the terms as generalizations of behavior. Again, it's their totalitarian tactics reminiscent of a history most know should not be repeated. And yet, here they are.
