The Sovereign Grace Association of Old School or Old Regular Baptist will be holding their Association at 5874 State Route 309 in Ada, Ohio 45810 starting at 1 pm Friday, May,21st and 10 am May 22 and 23rd. This Association still has lined singing and holds to the KJB and the Philadelphia Baptist Confession of Faith 1742 and has simple New Testament Worship. The members and friends of the Baptist Board are welcomed to attend, there are usually informal discussions in between meetings on various subjects by the Elders. There are discounted rooms available at the Country Hearth Inn in Lima, Ohio just tell them you are there for the Sovereign Grace Association, You may likewise call my number for information (Please PM Old Regular for his phone number). These Associations have been conducted this way for hundreds of years.

Thanks for posting this - I'm not sure if you saw that I posted a thread recently asking how to go about visiting Old Regular Baptist churches. I'm especially keen to experience lined singing - I have an academic interest in different kinds of congregational singing but my purpose for coming would be purely personal. If I do happen to get the chance I might ask you for advice, if that's ok!

I would say that almost all Old Regular Baptist or Old Regular Primitive Baptist ,would be more than welcoming and thy all would have some form of line singing ,the key would be to find out their meeting times as most not all our served by travelling ministers some meet once a month some every Sunday. There are sharp contrast in doctrine among the different factions but not in worship form. I would be glad to help you out and if you have a particular interest in a practice or doctrine , I should be able to navigate through the different groups as I have friends in all of them.

The Preaching , singing and prayers were all seasoned from on high ! There was much preaching on the doctrines of Grace and experimental Grace the Atonement and the Kingdom of God being a present reality set up by Christ and the Apostles of the Lamb. We sang from the Thomas, Gobel , Lloyds, Sweet Songster, Old Regular and Primitive Baptist song books some hymns and spiritual song were by oral tradition. We had visitors from the Radicue, Coopers Grove, Sandusky , Blue Ridge , Mount Pleasant, Northeastern, Northwestern, Mates Creek Associations and some visitors from Baptist groups not affiliated with Old School Baptist. No Baptist Board Members other than Elder Jeremy Slone and myself.
