Who said that salvation is by human works, rather than the work of Christ in us?

Do you have an actual quote from Charles Finney or is this more slander and libel?

It's called an 'ad hominem attack', both sides routinely employ it when ever they're 'out of ammo'.

I do not believe Catholic priest are saved. I do not believe that a demon has the power to take over a true Christian. You might be surprised what a non Christian can do with the power of the name of Jesus.

Mat 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy by thy name, and by thy name cast out demons, and by thy name do many mighty works?
Mat 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

If you look at that in context, it's people who are lying about their works, whose evil fruit reveal them to be false prophets, while claiming to be good:

    Matthew 7
15 “Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. 16 By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? 17 Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them. 21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ 23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’

As Jesus Himself said, Satan cannot cast out Satan.

Thanks for the effort HD. The issue was loss of righteousness, but somehow you managed to not address it. As far as "imparted" righteous (imputed righteousness under yet another name) there is no support in scripture. But the fact we are "made" righteous is in scripture. Go figure...

Where did Christ say they were liars? No where does this say they were liars regardless of context. No one who worships Mary or any other dead saint is Christian. All priest do this when they ask Mary to ask Jesus to do something. for them. There simply is nothing good in the RCC. Your defense of priest suggest your a Catholic. Priest have tried to force people to be Catholics. they have murdered other Christians for not being Catholic. The reputation of Catholic priest is not good by any means

You keep suggesting that Satan cannot cast out demons. Because someone is not saved does not mean they are Satan These men were trying to enter heaven by there works as I see it. Doing so with out the indwelling of Christ is impossible it was evil to even try such a thing. This is what Catholics do they try so hard to be Christian while worshiping Mary. This is impossible. The Christ they worship is still on the cross. It's called necromancy.

Jesus promised that, if you truly followed Him, people would speak evil of you:

    Matthew 5:11
Blessed are you when they shall insult you and shall persecute you, and lying shall say all kinds of evil against you on account of Me.

It shouldn't be surprising, then, that Calvinists continue to bear false witness regarding Finney's life and teachings, for converting more souls to lifelong, repentant believers than they do, but it's also a violation of God's command to not bear false witness:
Bearing False Witness is a Sin, A Warning of God's Judgment

Every time Calvinists smear Charles Finney, a man who gave up the pursuit of practicing law after having a profound experience of the Holy Spirit, who wouldn't even visit a town for revival until after it had been made ready with extensive prayer, they are setting themselves up for God's judgment.

    Matthew 12:31-32
I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven. Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.

It's blasphemy against the Holy Spirit to attribute the work of God to the work of Satan, just as the Pharisees did when Jesus cast out demons.

What has to be added to the finished work of Christ while upon his Cross?

Charles Finney held to very erroneous doctrine in regards to Sotierology proper!

Just like revivals during Charles Finney's time, modern revivals as well have led to dramatic decreases in crime while they were being conducted:
