Yes, I enjoyed many of his films, such as the Last Crusade, and Finding Forester. And yes, for me he was "Bond, James Bond."

That's how I felt until Pierce Brosnan came along.

I came across a grave over 20 years ago which listed the deceased as "James Bond", which I thought humorous.

Ironic that they would not make his best Bond Film today, Gold Finger, due to PC running amuck, heck even the lead female name in movie would be non no!

They could not make his Bond films today, too much smoking and drinking, and females being "degraded"

Actually Sean Connery despised the Bond films, but they got him better roles that he did like. He was quite anti Hollywood for a long time before his death & turned down everything they offered. It was said that when he entered a room full of ‘star’ power, the room went silent. Then everyone rushed to talk with him. He had IT.

I enjoyed Connery's Bond films. I was 11 years old when my brother and I saw Thunderball on the big screen. It was bedazzling to me. Dragonheart was extremely entertaining, a movie where Connery's voice was used for the dragon.
In my opinion, Pierce Brosnan is a better James Bond. I don't know why. Just my thought.
I like Daniel Craig too. A fist slinger.

Two of his roles stand out to me, Private Flanagan in The Longest Day and Captian Ramius in The Hunt for Red October. In THRO, he spoke with the same Scottish accent in Russian and English. You can tell by his r's.

He was a great man, but my Bond vote goes to Roger Moore by a nose.
