I chose "other". I am neither Democrat or Republican and am not overly concerned who will win. While a Democrat victory would mark a continued incline towards evil (for our nation) I am concerned a Republican victory would mark a continued deterioration of American Christianity (more wolves among the sheep) .

I would say that, considering we have to win in '22 to even have a chance, you are being (perhaps??) overly optimistic!
Should we face the choice you posit, option # 1 is my pick as of today!! -
But I did vote for one State Assy D - as he was pro-life and the R was pro-abortion.
A year ago, I voted for a D for Town Supervisor (similar to a Mayor) for various reason. -
I was just trying to get a general ideal - - I did this from another BB thread. -

Thats your choice -
and I would do the same again
But - now this is a long story - knowing now what I know -
I would have voted differently in our committee meeting - and thus there would have been no need for the Dem to run!
In that case - I would have cast a write in ballot - and NOT voted for the R -

With Liz Cheney being ousted, the Reps seem to sense their dependence on the populist appeal of putting the oxygen masks on the adults before applying them to the children, aka America First and Make America Great Again.
How they fare compared to the Dems in 2022 will determine where things go from here. They need Trump or someone convincingly like him to carry the populist torch in 2024. Either way, Trump's influence is too great right now to dismiss. But they still need to do something to eliminate the extensive election rigging the Dems managed earlier.
