    Baby Born From 27-Year-Old Frozen Embryo Is Just 18 Months Younger Than Her Mom
    I guess I have never given this subject much deep thought. If life begins at conception (as many of us believe), is it really moral and ethical to freeze live human beings?

    Human life, unique from our parent's lives, begins within hours of fertilization. Now we take actions that harm part of our body to protect that unique life, such as amputation or chemo-therapy. But to delay, perhaps permanently, the development of that unique life, for the possible benefit of others, is to treat others not as we would want to be treated. Therefore, I think the practice of "freezing" embryos is sinful.

    If I were that baby, I would claim full retirement benefits at age 39, since I actually would be 66 by then....

    Embryos are sometimes issues in divorce agreements

    Embryo Disputes Becoming More Common in Family Law Practice | The Legal Intelligencer

    As few states have enacted statutes and as most of those statutes are unhelpful, litigation is typically the only method to resolve these disputes. There are different theories on this topic as to how to determine the most equitable way to divide frozen embryos. The most straightforward theory is the contracts-based appropriate, which has been applied by several different courts. This approach is based on agreements parties enter into during the IVF process which state their intent for the disposition of the embryos upon death, separation or divorce.

    I haven’t thought about it much, either. Perhaps it’s a blessing this life was not discarded. Maybe an effort should be made to implant ever frozen embryo to give that baby a chance at life.

    I have read that most embryos (75%?) never implant in the uterus and are expelled during the next cycle.

    From a scientific viewpoint, it will be interesting to see if any complications from the long term freezing arise in this baby’s life.

    peace to you

    morals and ethics are the last thing that the majority of governments are interested in. To me this is very disturbing and from the devil, whose main role is to try to undermine, or destroy, what the Lord has determined should be the natural way. Another evil is these sperm banks, that allow women (and in some cases men!) from using this to have children! One man here in the UK boasted that he has donated for 800 babies to be born all around the country! There can be no way the the authorities can really monitor who is who, and prevent siblings from marrying each other!!!. This is all wickedness, and our nations are paying the high cost of God's Judgement.

    Think about that baby born, that In due time and dependent upon God, in the context of:

    Have ye not known that your body is a sanctuary of the Holy Spirit in you, which ye have from God? and ye are not your own, for ye were bought with a price; glorify, then, God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's.
    And not only so, but also we ourselves, having the first-fruit of the Spirit, we also ourselves in ourselves do groan, adoption expecting -- the redemption of our body;

    Possible???

    Yes, I would make no criticism of those who decided to give birth to this child. I question the wisdom of producing embryos for the purpose of freezing them.
    That is an intriguing question, which I suppose time will tell. Even though the baby is about 6 weeks old, the child is in another sense 27 years old already.

    I had a Pentecostal youth tell me that when the Bible says the “dead in Christ will rise first” that it was referring to baptists.

    peace to you
