Maybe Obama was thinking of our territories and possessions. Afterall, he was just visiting one of them -- the Virgin Islands. In the latter 20th century we had about nine territories , but gave back three.
LOL, yep, elect him president and he won't be sure how many states he's president of. With that many states, a few could withdraw from the rest and he'd never miss them, I mean there 56 more. lol
I am no fan of Sen. Obama, but he was undoubtedly intending to say 47 states, here, since he mentioned he had one left to visit, in addition to AK and HI.
(He seems to have a decent grasp of mathematics, considering he apparently correctly believes he is getting ever closer to the number needed for the Democratic nomination for President in 2008.)
My mother went home in 2002, and my late brother also went to be with the Lord in 2003.
I could not possibly count the number of times I have referred to this as 1992 and 1993, respectively, usually to the astonishment of the hearer, who will usually comment that it didn't seem that long, whereupon I then correct it.
I'm sure that most of us would make a few slips, were we on the campaign trail, often for 15-16 hrs a day for well over a year, plus having to show up in Washington, frequently, as well, for Senate business.
Exactly, which is why I posted this thread to say this guy is wearing down and probably needs a break. I am sure he's not the only candidate he has reached this stage of tired yet there is a long road ahead of them.
Remember Roger, I plan to vote for Obama and started this thread. I agree we shouldn't just point out the good in the ones we support and the bad in the ones we don't. I have made that point loudly in many threads. We as fairminded Christians should lead the country and set the example by letting the facts speak for themselves so we can each vote with a clear, unbiased conscience. Excellent point!!!
