    Interesting statistic.

However, in as much all things belong to God, we will all give an account for every nickel. There is also an accounting for every idle word and deed.

The poor have been exploited by the rich for millennia. The middle class, what is left, is still trying to climb a rungless ladder to utopia, while trying to be first on a treadmill to oblivion.

Now what? See: Sermon on the Mount.

    Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

    ...imbedded link from OP article:

This is the proof that the 1% have been running the show for 800 years

"...all the social and economic changes we take for granted haven’t made a lick of difference to the correlation between elite and best-educated surnames and social status. “Even more remarkable is the lack of a sign of any decline in status persistence across major institutional changes, such as the Industrial Revolution of the eighteenth century, the spread of universal schooling in the late nineteenth century, or the rise of the social democratic state in the twentieth century,” they said....This study is not the first to show how entrenched wealth has become....."

Wonder how much of the GDP( for the folks in the US) their companies generate?

That's probably more telling as to the power they wield.

The Waltons of Wally World fame are billionaires. At one time about 80% of what they retailed came from mainland China. This does not include the sweatshops of: India, Sri Lanka, Viet Nam, etal, etal. What's in your closet?

An interesting study: the building of U.S. railroads, J.P. Morgan, and the U.S. govt. borrowing money from J.P.

This is about profit margins for stock holders. Everyone with a 401K is participating.

Rich and poor all go to the same grave. Then what?

Bill G. and Warren B. have persuaded many billionaires to give away half of their fortunes. How much will go to those who really need it is not readily apparent. Munificent benefactors have been known to give much to their own foundations.

    Even so, come, Lord Jesus.
