Thanks, Pam. I knew he was going to have one, but didn't have the link.
I think the writing will bring healing to him. -
I agree, Sue. I can't imagine all that Carl is going through. We should keep Gayla's family in the forefront of our prayers ...

They are so adorable!! Thanks for sharing the pics with us, PJ. I'm still praying for them...

In case you haven't seen a photo of it yet, Carl chose a lovely marker for Gayla ...

Carl wrote a wonderful piece on he and Gayla's story. It's dated December 16th. Stop in for a look-see if you're interested ... :wavey:

Awe, Carl's blog spot has been removed. :(
-
Maybe it's just a temporary thing...:(
-
I hope you're right, Gwen...

It's back.
I had some issues with people voicing problems they had with stuff I put up there when I clearly stated at the beginning to not read it if they didn't like it. so I took it down planning not to put it up again. But "something" told me to keep going. SO,
The new address is appropriately titled:

Not sure if men are allowed to post here...but I figured this would be the best way to let you all know....
See ya:wavey: -
I'm so sorry you had problems, Carl, but I'm really glad you are continuing your blog! And I don't think anyone minds if you post here. :wavey: I hope you and the kids are doing ok, and just wanted to let you know I'm still praying for your family. God bless!

I'm glad you stayed with it, Carl ~ you're the blog master!
Also, we feel close to Gayla there ... -
Blog master?? awww shucks!:type: :applause:
"Also, we feel close to Gayla there"
You know?, I'm sorry to say I never thought of that.
After all she talked to me about all you girls, I came to know a lot of your heartaches and praises through her. I apologize for not considering that. After all I probably couldn't put into words when she just wasn't able to do anything around the house and in the hospice, as long as she could move a mouse she'd be eager to get on the BB and catch up with you all. It made her happy some days just to get on there and read. It did my heart good many a time when i'd hear her bust out laughing from something she read. Just about all the time it was something on the BB. I'd better stop, I'm having a hard time seeing the screen...:tear:
See you all later.:wavey: -
Bless your heart, Carl. I do so admire your faith. Now I can't see the screen either. :tear:
We're keeping up with your blog, even though we may not jump in.
Please give your and Gayla's little ones a hug for me. :1_grouphug: And keep on blogging!! -
If anyone ready my heart thread....
I went to the doctor office to get some bloodwork to check my thyroid levels and they kept me there for an hour and was almost going to send me away because they're wasn't any orders for it, But after I told the doctor what my heart had been doing she paused and said, "get it done" and low and behold!, I am apparently NOT getting enough medicine...I'm not liking this cycle, because last time it was adjusted (a few months ago) my heart was acting up then... So you that have had your thyroid out, might want to insist on a blood test to check, especially if your heart does something out of the ordinary, oh I don't know, like does palpitations for almost an hour....that might be a clue (for me anyway) :)
I'll the cardio doc sometime next month, Thanks for all the prayers!
:wavey: -
Praying for you today, Carl!
-
Love the photos of your and Gina's wedding on your blog, Carl! Awe, you're all so cute together!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS to the extended Barkema family!!!! :wavey:

The pics could be better...we had a rough morning but that's a story for another time. (or for the women in the PWF, hehe) One day we'll get a decent one up of us all together.
The two youngest seem to be adjusting to everything on a level perfectly appropriate for their ages. Pretty cool kids, and I'm VERY thankful for the privilege of being part of their lives now! Nobody will ever replace Gayla, but I definitely can surround these kids with the love and care that Gayla would have wanted them to grow up with.
