    A Gore-led Ticket?

U.S. Rep. Tim Mahoney, whose district includes much of Martin and St. Lucie counties, is hoping he won’t have to attend the Democratic Party national convention in Denver in August.

If he does go, that will mean the Democrats still haven’t decided a nominee for the presidential election. And if neither Sen. Hillary Clinton nor Sen. Barack Obama has clinched the nomination by August, Mahoney says we may see a brokered convention, meaning the nominee could emerge from a negotiated settlement.“If it (the nomination process) goes into the convention, don’t be surprised if someone different is at the top of the ticket,” Mahoney said.

A compromise candidate could be someone such as former vice president Al Gore, Mahoney said last week during a meeting with this news organization’s editorial board.

If Gore runs, he will have to debate his lie, I mean, movie he made. He won't do that.

I don't think Gore will run; Obama, I believe will win the nomination.

The Democrats are proving that they can't even run their own party. How in the world do they think that they can run the nation?

Gore is no unifier. The Clintons don't like him (they feel he squandered their "legacy" and their staffs never jelled) and Obama will use his same old rhetoric, calling him Old Washington. No way these two will let Gore take the top spot, and I don't know there would be a tremendous amount of support. The party is either going to have to cut the throat of either Obama or Hillary, or they will have to gut both to anoint a third person.

IF another "third person", who would it be if not Gore?

REALLY??? Is that possible??? (I mean in the sense that they'd ever get everyone to agree to that?)

OR, is it even remotely possible that someone WILL talk Obama/Hillary into a shared ticket? Would that be the best way to stop the bloodletting?

You won't have to worry about being assasinated if you pick SFIC. You won't even need secret service.

If Al Gore runs for President, I'll be glad to donate some of my excess Carbon Credits to his campaign. I can't believe my Carbon footprint is so small now that I retired :saint:

I think Phil Bredesen is positioning himself. Problem is, he's under ethical fire here in Tennessee for conduct of his administration.
