    You must listen before you hear. Listening is an intentional activity, hearing is not. Many people "hear" preaching and teaching, but they do not "listen" to it. Listening makes you an active participant in the message - you get involved in what the speaker is saying. This opens the door to action - you put what you listen to into practice in your life.

    Let us be listeners to the Word and not hearers only.
