Adam Greenway Dean of the Billy Graham School of Missions, Evangelism and Ministry at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, has been unanimously selected by Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary’s Presidential Search Committee as their nominee to fill the presidential vacancy.
I actually met Brother Greenway a few months ago. He preached at a church I occasionally attend. He did an excellent job and this nomination is well deserved, imo.
Were there any other candidates they interviewed? As I said, he’s a solid choice. SBC made a bad hire in Greear. From what I heard about him, he’s a Calvinist with some bad doctrine.
Yes God has ppl to put in particular places, but ppl here on earth don't know who it is. That is why both parties involved need to pray for guidance. It may turn out that Brother Adam does not get the nod, and if so, someone else will. But just because God has someone picked out for that position, that does not negate the need of prayer from both parties.
The ousting of Patterson was very suspicious and I said at that time they will likely pick a cal to replace him. I knew that was the agenda and low and behold......
He is probably a fine man. SW needs to stay traditional.
Well, if they ousted him wrongfully, then that is bad. I read the PP had tried to keep a girl from going forth with an sexual assault claim, or something like that. But I could very well be mistaken.
Thanks for that. If SWBTS railroaded him to get a Calvinist in there in his place, that was flat out wrong. I have heard both sides of this and don’t know what to make of it. I will just pray for the one(s) wrong to repent and publically acknowledge their sin in this.
