What does he think distinguishes his view from KJV-onlyism?

Personally, I think James 1:8 will answer the question.

James1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
If God doesn't upbraid, and yall are so godly....?
6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
Still can't decide whic MSS are the right ones?
7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.
    Right, he's too undecided
8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
"I believe the xx version says it best, but...."
9 Let the brother of low degree rejoice in that he is exalted:
Yes, Lord, O God, I am humbled.
10 But the rich, in that he is made low: because as the flower of the grass he shall pass away. AV 1611 KJB will not
11 For the sun is no sooner risen with a burning heat, but it withereth the grass, and the flower thereof falleth, and the grace of the fashion of it perisheth: so also shall the rich man fade away in his ways. Yes, Lord, O God, You're always right, men will run to and fro and be unstable as water, but not one of your Words shall fall to the ground. Thank you, Lord, O God, for the AV 1611 KJB.
12 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.
This crown, the AV 1611 KJB is rather glorious, but Lord, we shall cast our crowns before Thee and give humble and due reverence unto Whom Reverence is due.
13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:
Thou art Worthy of all praise and expectation, Lord God.
14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
Yes, Lord, men are drawn from the Word of Truth in our AV 1611 KJB whilst puffed in their pride of the knowledge of a dead language by which they make their boast
15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.
Lord? Sin is certainly brash, but You, O, Lord God art Judge.
16 Do not err, my beloved brethren.
Lord, God? Please pull Brother James to the forefront and Divinely commend him before the rest of your true and mighty in faith, we are admonished and also encouraged by him and to withstand error.
17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
Thank You, Thank You, Lord Jesus, You are always right about our Father which art in Heaven, Hallowed be Thy Name !
18 Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.
Abba, Father! Yes, You knew what you were getting when you adopted us, Thank You Lord Jesus!
19 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:
Yes! Praise, Honour! Worthy ! Thou art to be worshipped in the spirit and truth of Holiness, Dear Lord God!
20 For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.
    A-men, Lord, a-men.
21 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.
Thank You Lord God, Your Word is Reverenced in our lives and we forever praise Thee! Worthy is the Lamb! Worthy to be praised!
22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
Thank you again Lord Jesus, for Light that we may walk and not be ashamed, and not be deceived by wicked and ungodly men
23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:
Yes, Lord God, we look into Thy Precious Word for the reflection of our souls to be more likened unto Thee, being conformed into Thy Son's image. We Praise Thee O, God!
24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.
Yes, Lord God, Thou art still yet Holy, holy, holy and men of corrupt minds do forget what they once were and puffeth themselves with pride and knowledge doting about unlearned questions, sadly, never coming to the knowledge of the Truth
25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.
Yes, Lord God, We Thank Thee and praise Thee for Thy liberty Thou hast granted unto us
26 If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man’s religion is vain.
Yes, Lord God, vanity of vanities, so let us be not led into temptation, Thou deliverest us from evil and vain repetition of vain men who try to change the Word of God into lasciviousness and vain religion, Thy Word O, Lord is exactly as Thou hast said in Psalms 12:6,7 "The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times."
27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.
Yes, Lord, O , God, we do realize Thou hast called us here for that specific reason and we Thank Thee, and Praise Thee O, God.

QS, or Perversioncepts, or whatever, has wrapped himself in an incomprehible cloud of Scripture, a shamanic device to protect himself from his own mistakes and attacks.

Somehow, rsr, I believe James 1 is obscure and incomprhensible to you, as many, many other scriptures hold the same of you.

    KJVO Double standard #27:

    1. any change in a MV (however slight) is large
    2. any change in a KJB (however large) is slight

    KJVO Double standare #28:]

    1. in a KJB: things that are different are the same
    2. in a MV: things that are not the same are different

QS, or Perversioncepts, or whatever your name is, you don't know me and have made a laughingstock of yourself here.

    James I:26, English Standard Version

This, I think, should be your life verse.

BTW: I don't use rolling-eyes icons and such to make my point. La-de-dah.

I consider it notable and quite strange that two professing Christians react so adverse in each other's posts in their view to an expose' and commentary on the Blessed Old Book commonly known as the AV 1611 KJB ! I have to applaud by commendation and rejoicing with her response, to one Sister GrannyGumbo, bewilst one notable rsr has only scowled and spewed forth bile extracted from deep within, with that responsive acute inner man, who is at enmity with God and His Truth of unending, deserving, and eternal Glory.

    GrannyGumbo!

:( rsr, but there is still hope, I hope.

    Bad example. Your example
    has no signifance nor importance.
    It is a bad example.

Sorry, Perversioncepts, if that is your name; I am at enmity with you, not God. Unless, of course, you are God. Please clear up this matter.

Unless you are God, alas, there is no hope of my relenting. Forsooth and forthwith.

Hey, rsr, I'm trying to send you a PM, but your box is full! I'll try again tomorrow, to see if it is cleared yet - have a great day of rest tomorrow, brother!

Ridiculously senile and rude to suggest.

I am only His messenger and you have problems with His Message. Av 1611 KJB

Well, that's good to hear. Don't want to be disagreeing with God in the open forums. That's a relief.

I don't have a problem with His message, just the messenger.

Uh-oh. There are the voices in my head again. Uh, what were you saying? Uh, I forgot. Uh. Must be the senility. Uh.

Uh, maybe you should call the Department of Homeland Security? Uh?

qs Pretexts, you may be His messenger, but no one on the BB has a problem with His message. As a mattter of fact His message comes not only in the old stale bread (ya know what I mean?), but also in fresh daily tastey manna. YUM

Could Orvie's reference to the KJV being "old stale" bread be a violation of the forum rules just as referring to the modern versions using similar derogatory language?

Rephrased; The KJV is in old English, which for some, causes God's Word to be stale. i.e. not fresh. Hey, Pastor Bob already told me to stop calling the KJV the kjv (lower case), which I complied. Of course qs and willie are still calling the MV's by names such as esv, niv, etc. (not that Pastor Bob would purposefully allow this, he's no hypocrite, apparent oversight, that's all). ;) Of course two wrongs don't make a right (but didn't two Wright's make an airplane  ).

O.K. More seriously and , uh, a reminder at that:

    Acts 19:20

    The Lord is God.

    God is the Lord.

    Theos is Kurios.

    Kurios is Theos.

Now you're questioning God's word choice? Theos is not the same as kurios, or do we need to go through the NT and show all the examples where kurios doesn't mean God and where theos doesn't mean Lord?
