These guys were wrong. No past atrocities caused by the enemy gives them the right to commit these kinds of acts. They need to be dishonorably discharged for this. Boys like this are the ones that anti-military liberals point at and condemn the whole military for.
Ironically, right after I posted, my squad leader came in with a printed out power point presentation on the "Law of Armed Conflict" and the "Rules of Engagement". It's main focus was the proper treatment of prisoners and the dead, including how we are to give Muslims a proper burial.
I had to go read it to my whole squad, and we all had to sign a sheet saying that we had been taught the information. It basically releases our supervisors of responsibility in the case any of us do something stupid. "I told him not to"
I have not been shot at by the Taliban but you are wrong!
The leftists in this country need no excuse to dump on the military and, for that matter, the country!
and he said he would do it again - to protect his men.
He went on to say that after that incident - there was no trouble in his sector - until after he left.....
Abuse of a corps is both an immoral and criminal act.
However, even more disgusting than urinating on a dead man is Col West's attempt to deny multiple millions of people the right to free speech.
Let's see...how many of us have been shot at by the Taliban?
Define "shot at." Do you mean, a Taliban had a rifle that he shot at you? Or did you dodge a rocket that was fired by an insurgent/Taliban? Or a mortar? Or an IED that an insurgent/Taliban triggered, or left to be triggered by a pressure plate or other device?
Oh, my apologies, I forgot that Allen West was a Colonel and is a fascist-state mini-dictator, so he has the constitutional right to tell people to shut up.
My bad.
Both sides are hyping this up. What he said has probably been said by 10,000 people. It doesn't make him right, but it doesn't make it all that newsworthy, either.
